As Obama SR did not graduate from Hawaii University until June 1962, and makes no mention of his bride and infant child in a June 22, 1962, interview with the Star-Bulletin the day he left Hawaii , one must wonder if other memories of Blake’s meeting with Dunham match relatively-established, critical statements of dates and locations.

If Obama Sr didnt know about the supposed marriage thingy, and that he was suppose to be the father of Obama Jr then he wouldnt acknowledge them...
Nobody saw them together in Hawaii and she didnt live with him or stay with him...
Ann used her maiden name to register at UW because it was HER LEGAL NAME at the time...Fall 1961...
Susan Blake may have made the whole thing up...

I've been wondering if it was Susan Blake herself that picked up Ann Dunham Obama, her good high school friend, in San Francisco on a possible return flight from Kenya.
Susan says she was on vacation in Santa Cruz, about 30 miles south of SFO, in summer 1961 and left when the fires started. Shortly thereafter, she got a "surprise visit" from Ann in Seattle in late-August 1961, 3 weeks after Obama Jr's birth. I have to wonder if Ann and baby Obama weren't with Susan on the drive up from SFO to Seattle...
Anyone nail down a date range for the (forest?) fires that occurred near Santa Cruz in summer of 1961 of which Susan Blake spoke?
and a good thought, I’ve often thought the same thing. But when Obama was in school in Hawaii, his name on things was Obama. However, I don’t know if anyone actually saw those yearbooks in person. I suppose it’s possible that Sr. never knew he used the name Obama but I’m more inclined to believe he as paid off to allow the use of the name. I still think FMD is the real father and Sr. covered for him.
