I remember reading that the Hague Convention 1933 did not allow for joint citizenship if one of the countries opposed it. Indonesia did NOT allow joint citizenship. They both SADO and BO, could have lost their citizenship....

Would SADO have restored hers at the time of her divorce....also would BhO?

Can someone find the cruise ship routed tt would contain both Mombasa and HI? (Early ‘60s)

Also the air plane routes between Mombasa and US mainland? British airline served Mombasa at this time.(Early ‘60s)

Any way it was possible that she just picked up where she left off when she returned to the states? A U.S. passport is good for 10 years and she was only gone from ‘67 to ‘72. She could have had a mailing address at her mother’s (mom covered for her and Barry) when in Indonesia. I assume the Indonesian government would not have considered it necessary to write a letter to the U.S. (State Dept.?) to tell them that one of their citizens just forfeited her U.S. citizenship. Since there were no income statements going to the I.R.S., maybe her absence was never noted officially. There of course could be something of which I am not aware that blows this theory out of the water.
