I can't prove it, but I'm pretty sure I saw him in 1980 or 1981, performing as the villan, in a dinner theater in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He stole the show.

His stand-up is much better than his movies.

The first time I saw him do like 20 perfect impersonations in a row, I was just floored!
