There is also a statement in the early version of the video interview which got removed at some point which indicates that the baby is the wrong color to be three weeks old at the time of the visit. _________________________________________________ What is that from ??? The photo of Obama as a baby lying on his tum with his head up ??? He would have to be about 3 months old at least in that pic 3 WEEK old babies dont usually do that... Oh, silly me... Obama is not usual.... He was born walking andf talking and organized his Kenyan community before he got his first diaper... Never mind...

The Susan Blake interview was edited at least once during the course of the debate. At one of the very early stages, someone noted a comment by her concerning the color of the baby and a doctor in the baby-delivery business posted a comment to the effect that the color condition she described would have been expected to change before the end of the first week after birth.

That was very very early in the discussion. I wasn't really focused on maintaining any kind of a record of facts and events at that point.

And as I think about it, there were two interviews--the other one was another mutual Seattle friend of Stanley Ann's and Blake's and that comment may have come from her; and her interview was somewhat more detailed than Blake's--I only saw it once and fairly shortly went back to look at it again and it was gone.

As to Albertafriend's comment to which this post is really addressed, the answer is that those are less usual conditions. Odds are that for a birth in a remote colony of the British Empire, in Africa; a normal healthy baby is likely to have been delivered as early in the day as possible so that the mother can get out and back to work in the afternoon.

What can I say. Stanley Ann was healthy and the course of events suggests to me that she was motivated to get the kid back to Hawaii as soon as possible. The testimony of the two missionaries was that she had some urgency about the return.

Your testimony about mother's maybe not learning to change diapers right away is very interesting but my own limited observation is that it happens pretty fast--my baby delivery doctor friends all say much less than 48 hours.

About the diapers...
Apparantly Obama Sr was importasnt in his village...He may have had servants

and there were several females in the family who would have fussed over the new addition...

Stanley Ann may have had a traveling companion who helped with the baby...

She may not have had to change a diaper until she got to Washington state...

or she conned her friend into changing the diaper...I’m so helpless...

Apparantly Stanley Ann came by her con gene honestly...

Her Mom lied on the birth registration for Barry Dunham...

That’s true now but back in the 60’s it was common to be in the hospital for up to a week for a normal delivery and healthy baby. Back them often they changed the diapers in the nursery and the mothers only had them for short visits, then they were taken back to the nursery.
