Well I do know some things that I haven't posted. We are operating in an environment in which the enemy has great power and has in fact exercised some fairly serious muscle against individuals who have been involved in this topic.
I think the ultimate question of fact is whether he was born in Kenya or Hawaii.
I initially resolve that issue fairly clearly myself because in late 2007 and early 2008, there were still lots of pieces of hard evidence. It was obvious that the Hawaii Birth Document didn't certify anything about the birth record but was simply glorified hearsay--and also fraudulent which made you wonder why they had to fraud it.
There were lots of secondary reports of statements by people with first hand knowledge that he was born in Kenya; Barack himself somewhere said his mother was in Kenya 72 hours before he was born--how did she get back and when. The Susan Blake video interview was particularly compelling to me because I have some direct personal first hand knowledge of the BOAC track between British East Africa and the West Coast of the US in that time period.
On balance, if you got to a judicial determination of fact based on the bare record at that time, even if you didn't have the conclusive record; an independent trier of fact, knowing what I knew then, would have come to the unshakable conclusion that Obama was born in Kenya. And around that time period, I did learn of an original record (which may or may not see the light of day).
I just don't see any room for doubt on the basic factual question--he was born in Kenya.
Now having said that, you need to keep in mind that many times, the legal argument doesn't always come out with a result that even reflects the facts.
The consequences to the modern US polity of this battle ought to be material. The government might fall.
So in that context, no one should have any real comfort in how the end game will play out. Any forecast at this point is likely to be incomplete at best.
