I think the law at the time was 5 years after 14 so his mother was not old enough to convey citizenship and in his case his Father was a British Subject which means he was born British, not American.

This assumes he was born in Kenya and his father is Obama. Ironically, if his father is indeed Frank Davis then he would probably be good to go.

Its his fathers citizenship which is the issue. His place of birth is just a distraction, albeit one that would readily resolve the issue.

Well stated and I wish many people would “LISTEN”.

This is also why McCain was OK even without the military reasoning. All a smoke screen IMHO.

That’s true for his being born in Kenya: Neither parent could pass him citizenship.

But the place of birth is hardly a distraction. It’s everything. If he was born in Hawaii, then he’s natural born.
