“Natural born” simply distinguishes between those born in the U.S. and those naturalized.

Not neccessarily.

It could be determined that a natural born citizen born overseas to two US citizens is a natural born citizen for the purpose of running for President.

The founding fathers wrote that into a law..then took it out during the French Revolution and when they wanted immigrants not to be able to vote for a particular party.

LOL...it should be

It could be determined that A child born to two US citizens in a foreign land is a natural born citizen for the purpose of running for President. This is the only time the natural born status kicks into play.

What about the 1898 case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark in which the Supreme Court of the United States decided that any person born in the United States is a citizen of the United States regardless of their parents’ citizenship?
