I think someone claimed it was from the law firm that handled the Obama divorce, so it would have been in THEIR files, not in the Hawaiian or Kenyan government. Just sitting in the box of files stored wherever the old records from this case was stored.

I’ve been suggesting that scenario because it makes the most sense. There were twelve (hand)numbered pages in the FOI released divorce documents. Eight are shown here:

Although there’s no evidence of a traditional marriage, and the divorce has been called a ‘fantasy divorce’ - for the purposes of custody, divorce would be recommended by her lawyer.

What items of identification would be required?

Her own birth certificate.
Something to identify the ‘father’
Identification for the child.
Marriage certificate...maybe?

These are items that IMO would NOT be covered by the FOI request. The items would however still be filed in archives with the original divorce documents.

Who ever completed the FOI request...would have realised the significance, methinks...
