Problems.....

The document is dated in 1961 and refers to "The Republic of Kenya". The Republic of Kenya did not come into existence until 1964. That is an indisputable fact. Find a way to explain that and I'll listen.

There are two places for signatures, one for Obama Sr. and one for an official. Both are blank.

There are no details regarding time of birth, weight, attending physician, etc...It's possible that Kenya never records these but it is a question.

The line for "Christian" name. I have known two people born in Kenya in this time frame. Neither had a Christian name. One was a Kikuyu named Waithera the other a Lao named Ashieng.

The last few are small issues but should be addressed. The first, the fact that there was no Republic of Kenya in 1961 is a deal killer.

The Deputy Registrar is certifying that the information contained in the copy is same as original, and, I would presume, that required signatures were present in original.

No, the document is dated 1964. Granted it's dated before Dec. 12, 1964 when Kenya offically became a Republic but no one knows if they began using “Republic” before December.

This is not the original long form, this is a certification of the original record. Again, it's dated ‘64.

“Christian” name is the British way of asking for their first and middle names. Notice it doesn't include the surname.

You're right, there was no Republic of Kenya in ‘61 but that has nothing to do with the pic.
