Since everybody seems to play the what- if game, my speculation is how can Obama be brought to bear?

Assuming the document is bona fide and that Obama was born in Kenya and further assuming that that means that he is not a natural born citizen, what next? Conservatives and Republicans have not the numbers in the House to bring articles of impeachment. There is some question whether we could peel off some Democrats. I take my lesson from the impeachment of Bill Clinton and I am not sanguine about the odds of converting enough Democrats in the House to the place where they will become actual supporters of the United States Constitution. Assuming sufficient Democrats combined with Republicans to impeach the president, we have the same problem in the Senate and, again, the impeachment of Bill Clinton is instructive and not confidence inspiring.

Republicans were not showing great many courageous profiles then and I expect to see even less courage among the profiles when the Democrats play the race card. Republicans have never stood up to it before, I don't see a reason why they will do so now.

Equally, the chances of getting an adjudication in a court are probably even slimmer. The court has already ruled countless times on the issue of standing, and the bona fides of the Kenyan document or the spuriousness of the Hawaii document do not change the rationale behind those rulings, unless the judges read the newspapers and unless it becomes plain that the public sentiment has greatly changed. Even if the courts changed their mind on standing, it is still likely that they would call this a political question and choose not to rule. It is mind-boggling to conceive of the judge issuing an order telling a sitting President of the United States to vacate the White House.

Even if all the legal obstacles could be overcome, the likelihood that could be done before 2012 is problematic.

I think, realistically, our solution is a political one in which we seek to so discredit Obama that he becomes a lame duck in his first year and is party is massacred at the polls in 2010.

I quite agree with you that it is the vice president who will succeed in the unlikely event that it comes to that. The vice president's office is a constitutional office and he is elected in his own right. In any event, I would infinitely prefer to have a conventional domestic leftist as President of the United States than an illegal alien who is a Manchurian Marxist. We have dealt with Biden's kind throughout the 20th century and we know how to fight and neutralize him. Besides he will have no credibility anyway. God only knows the damage Barack Obama is contemplating for our country.

If it is clearly found that Obama is ineligible and the Dems refuse to remove him instead of trying to control the damage, there will be a revolt. The military clearly will not follow his orders. If the powers to be refuse to remove him the people will. Somebody will got up to him like they did to Nixon and give him a choice. Pardon will be his only hope and he will step down in return for that, which I find extremely distasteful. His secretiveness is evidence of knowledge of wrongdoing.

I am not saying this is the real thing, but at least it is a good starting point to demand his long form BC and if he was not born in a hospital the doubt magnifies immensely. We go from there. Witnesses,hospital records, the books in Kenya and England etc. There are other documents that can be used as collaborating evidence. I am concerned that this could be a decoy to take the heat off the natural born citizen requirement, and that the Kenyan BC is a fraud and the MSM will scream enough is enough. I don’t want US to be outplayed in this high stakes game of D.C. hold em.

If a person is a fraud then how can he be president? I would think that only a valid president could be impeached. A fraudulent impostor would be arrested.

My next question is who is authorized to arrest a fraud occupying the White House and would they do it?

THIS IS ASSUMING THE DOCUMENT IS REAL: I respectfully disagree. IF IT IS PROVEN THAT THE DOCUMENT IS REAL: He must be removed forthwith by force if necessary(I mean escorted from the White House by U.S. Marshals). Impeachment is out of course, you can't impeach someone who is a fraud in the first place.

This is unprecedented, I really don't know what authority will have to handle this, surely not the court. They have allowed this to continue.

The courts should have settled this before the election. Now we may be in a huge mess with terrible consequences.

Once he is found to be a fraud, people are not going to let him sit in the oval office for one day much less until 2012.

All this could be avoided of course if only he would release his long form birth certificate. He is creating a possible volatile situation that may get out of control.

I hope my gut is wrong. I want his BC to show without doubt he is a American Citizen and I will be glad I am wrong, because the alternative is too horrible to think about.

“President” Obama would NOT have to be impeached. Since he was never eligible, he was never actually President. In fact, he CANNOT be impeached, any more than you or I can be. He CAN be evicted like a common squatter, however.

nathanbedford, this is a political question. I think that the concept of seperation of powers even extends to a counterfeit POTUS like Hussein.

All we should expect from the courts is discovery, so that we might interpet the relevant documents. Once it is dertirmined that this basturd is in fact a usurper, than we can can invoke the political mechanisms. If the Congress will not do it’s sworn duty to uphold the constitution in that event, than we ALL KNOW WHAT MUST HAPPEN NEXT!!!!!
