No, Ann was not old enough to transfer citizenship to Obama on her own. If Obama’s father was a citizen, it’s a non-issue, but he wasn’t.

The laws clearly state that if only parent is a US citizen, then that parent must have lived in the US for at least 10 years, five of which over the age of 16 (or 14 in some statutes). Either way, Ann doesn’t qualify at 18.

If Obama was not a citizen ( if he was born in Kenya) due to Ann's age, then how did Ann get the baby back into the U.S.? Wouldn't immigration officials have stopped her when she got off the plane in the U.S.?
