Just curious....What do YOU think he is hiding?
A telling question indeed. Family histories including my own are my hobby. Especially the famous and infamous. One of those rare birds who is fascinated by memorials in cemeteries. A few shots in the dark.
(1). For some reason, he was not registered at all in that archive. Charlie Chaplin was never registered, his half brother was though. This in London, England.
(2). The racial origin of his father was given as Arabic.
(3)He was born in Canada.

The secret he needs to hide is: Neither Stanley Ann nor Barak, Sr. are his natural parents. Stanley Ann sets up Barak, Sr. as a convenient black stoolie in Hawaii and takes on surrogate motherhood of a mulatto child in Seattle. Now guess who the real momma and daddy are?
