Yep...I stand (sit) corrected. Maybe it was “The ROC” , a large and really ugly dumb-looking bird that ate airplanes?
AH! I remember that one!
The bird (Buzzard, actually -they didn’t even TRY to hide the strings!) would crash into the planes and eat the guys as they were dropping in their parachutes.
Now I gotta look up the name for THAT one!
BTW, how about, “The Day of the Triffids?”
