Col. BLANK who was born in the State of Kentucky March 7, 1826. He was brought to Missouri when very young by his father Blank first settled in Louis C. though finely Settled in Howard county wharre he reaised his family. BLANK a Col. in the Suthern cause and was one amonght the bravest and skilfull men in command on the Suthern Side of the war. At the age of 24 in 1849 Feb 15 he married the daughter of a neighbor in Boon County BLANK who survives him an had bin a faithful and devoted wife and mother of all his children.BLANK oposed MONTGOMERY LAIN & GENISON and all the Kansis Jahawkers. He mantained a Strate forward brave heroic corce till his death & leaves behind him a brave heroic life never to be forgoten. Fine, but what about my two great great great grandfathers who were loyal to the United States, enlisted and fought under its flag in the Civil War, one of them losing a leg? To hear the Lost Causers side of things, they were little better than Nazis, war criminals, the pointy end of Lincoln's evil plan to end federalism and "the filth that flowed from the north" as Watie often says. Am I supposed to allow them to be dishonored?
