Steyn has been spitting out gems all afternoon, like this classic: “When socialism is tried incrementally, people take a whole lot of it before they finally get mad and say ‘enough!’” Or, “The thing I love about America is all the ‘crazy guys’ who say ‘we’re just not going to take it anymore!’”(He’d really love FR then)How about, “instituting socialism lowers people’s standards so that when they spend 18 hours in the emergency room of a state-run hospital instead of the 48 they expected, they’re happy.”
Steyn’s stuff about old NH Yankees, guns, self reliance and almost no crime in NH are great. He lives in some small town in NH and says there is no crime and almost everyone has guns.
His observations about the locals and their common sense is great. Sadly, NH is being ruined by Massachusetts libs running away from socialism they created.
He is such a good writer, very funny and very bright.
