Michele Obama and the influence of the Nation of Islam
4-2-2008 | George F. Spicka

Posted on 04/02/2008 12:25:02 PM PDT by George - the Other

This morning I was sent the following email:

> In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama stated that America was a nation founded on crime and hatred. Moreover, she stated that whites in America were ineradicable racist. The 1985 thesis, titled 'Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community' was written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson. Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to 'Whites at Princeton , it often seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first...' However, it was reported by a fellow black classmate, If those 'Whites at Princeton ' really saw Michelle as one who always would 'be Black first,' it seems that she gave them that impression.

> Most alarming is Michele Obama's use of the terms separationist and integrationist when describing the views of black people. Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a separationist view of race.

To fully understand Michelle Obama's view of America, it is important to appreciate the influence that the Nation of Islam has had upon her. Founded by Elijah Muhammad, the organization is now lead by Louis Farrakhan. As you recall, Obama's endorsement by Louis Farrakhan caused a stir because of Farrakhan's history of racist anti-Semitic comments.

This influence is further underscored by the fact that she and Barack Obama were members of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ. Last year its minister, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., gave an award to a man it said "truly epitomized greatness." That man was Louis Farrakhan.

A visit to the Nation of Islam website: What the Muslims Believe reveals a number of "separationist" statements including: "... we believe we are the people of God's choice ..." / "We believe this is the time in history for the separation of the so-called Negro's and the so-called white Americans." / "We believe that the offer of integration is hypocritical and is made by those who are trying to deceive the black people ..."

Statements on the Nation of Islam website: What Muslims Want include: "We want our people in America whose parents or grandparents are descendents from slaves to be allowed to establish a separate state or territory of their own ..." / " ... we cannot get along with them in peace and equality ..." / "We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should be prohibited."

What I find disturbing is that here in Baltimore, Nation of Islam members routinely hand out information at busy intersections without hindrance. I can't help but feel that politicians like Elijah Cummings, Kweisi M'Fume and others are overtly hypocritical. They'll lead a protest against racism down south against a state flag that contains an image of the Confederate flag within its design, but do absolutely nothing about the Nation of Islam right in their own city.

If anything, Barack Obama's run for the presidency has brought this "separationist view of race" to the surface. Hopefully with time, more efforts will come forth that will bring us closer to the dream of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

” **whites** in America were ineradicable racist.”

Talk about the black calling the kettle, er, I mean the pot calling the kettle black, eh, I mean white ... oh, I’m so confused!(sarcasm)

Is it me, or does Michelle miss the racism integral to her statement?

The more I here about statements made by Michelle, the more it bolsters my theory that she enjoys little more than a 2 digit IQ.

If Boma is the nominee, Michele will be questioned
more and her nasty attitude and far left views will
be front and center.

Lets see how some of the moderate dems can defend her

From your link:

On the Psychopathology of the Liberal Mind:

Rather, the adult drive toward omnipotent control of others, in any arena whatever, is rooted in fears of separation, abandonment loss or abuse--the residual effects of early attachment gone wrong. The need to dominate others arises from the tyrant’s need for absolute assurance that the catastrophic loss of dependency or the pain of abuse so devastating to him in his earliest years will not be repeated. In his determination to control the world, he constantly defends himself against what Karen Horney aptly described as the most basic of human fears: being alone and helpless in a dangerous, indifferent world, the nightmare of the abandoned, terrified child.

Persons plagued with such fears easily conclude that it is in their greatest interest to dominate others, or to imagine that they can, and to set about achieving that goal through the manipulation of government power.

Now, if you read THE LIFE OF MUHAMMAD, a biography written by Edward, Canon Sell, published in 1913, and 'Dreams of My Father' - you will see just how much mohammad and obama have in common.

If Obama & wife are the nominees, and the republicans stay home on election day, and the Obama’s win the election, then America deserves the repercussions of having them in the Whitehouse, because if you do not show your voice in rejection, you are showing your voice in acceptance. Boycotting an election is not an option.

What If all of us were to write in a name, (agree on the same person) on election day would that work to elect the person?

BUT IF Hussein is the nominee tha McCain has our votes!

Clinton? She would never win so she’s no threat.
