Gosh, I've read several books this summer, too; David McCullough's "John Adams", Joseph Ellis's "His Excellency, George Washington", "Storm Warning" by Nancy Mathis, and four Tony Hillerman books about Navajo Tribal Police. In addition to those, I read "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". I'm now reading "Contract" by Gerald Seymour, and have a couple of David Baldaccis waiting.

You seem to be under that impression that those who might spend their time reading Harry Potter books don't have the sophistication to enjoy other forms of literature.

You obviously couldn't be more wrong.

Have you seen the PBS-Mystery videos of some of the Hillerman books? They’re very well done (except for “Skinwalkers,” where they messed with the plot way too much), and have great casting.

Wes Studi as Joe Leaphorn! (Speaking of actors one can watch (and listen to) forever ...
