She is vain...but also, if you think about it...her biggest hits were when she was singing "with a group" and some of her best songs just do not cut it if ya dont have the hot background vocals and choreography to go with it.
I was nice tyo see that AI was kind enough to give her some work though LOL

I agree...bad group overall this season.
I know two people who will audition this year. Both have been encouraged by people endlessly for years and kept hesistating. I think both would have made the top 12 without a doubt in this group...as they both are phenominal musicians, but also have 'it'. Then again, they must not have been looking much for that this season and only found us a few. Ha.
But I can't wait until auditions next year...as hopefully two will be ones I can cheer for because they deserve it! Nevermind that I'd go into it having heard them before and knowing that as musicians and people both they are great. And since neither are diva types, and this is surely a diva year, it probably bodes better for both than it might have this year anyway! Hee, hee.
