"The people at this forum are conservatives."
That is what I thought too, but I get confused sometimes when I see a number of them supporting liberal republicans like Rudy. If Rudy isn't a liberal, or at the very least, a RINO, then I guess I don't understand the definition of what it means to be a conservative.

Struck a nerve, did I? Not really. I just find it humorous that this is where Rudy has led you - to using classic liberal methods of nondebate. Straight out of the Dem playbook, you might say.

Very true! Some of these folks you are right would never make it in a real campaign. I have gone up to doors to hand out literature and been told where I can go in a not a nice way. I always say "Thank You for your Time" and that makes them madder.
What gets me is when they post those long standard posts more than once on a thread too! I find some of the pictures funny!

Narses dear, this lawyer, who is paid to parse words, thinks that the particular words you are now have in your copy and paste repertoire, in context make rather obvious that Rudy was trying to sell Roberts in his tete a tete with his interlocutor Colmes. Rudy was making the case that Roberts' views on abortion should not being a show stopper to his confirmation. Some of your cut and pastes I think actually are reassuring to me. This issue IS of concern to me, and your copy and pastes are making the case that Rudy is not going to go off the Federalist Society reservation in selecting SCOTUS nominees. Keep it up! You are doing good work!

I was out watching my kid play tennis, so I missed the early part of the thread -- but I haven't seen any colorful charts in a few pages. Are the anti-Rudy forces giving up on charts? If they need more I'm sure they can get some bash charts leftover from Al Gore's 2000 Campaign.
To: dirtboy
Maybe Rudy can be his own First Lady.

Their intentions are obvious! This is their attempt to not only silence everyone who isn't walking in complete lockstep with them, but to get every single thread about every candidate but their own shuffled off to the smokey backroom, where almost nobody will see it.
These are not the tactics of Conservatives.
To: Petronski
Look familiar? :-)

Do you really think a pubbie nominee who appeared in drag at a gay fundraiser will have such ignored by deepest Red America?I don't think that will persuade "deepest Red America" to vote for Hillary or Obama or Edwards.
To: Torie
LOL! Unintended consequence or result.

Actually, they're sold by those whose political agenda you seem to have adopted. You could underbid them, you know? Make a tidy profit in volume...you're planning to require a VAST NUMBER of people to wear them (just like the good old days).

I don't think that will persuade "deepest Red America" to vote for Hillary or Obama or Edwards. The objective is not to get them to vote for the Dem. The objective is to get them to not want to vote, period.
And you don't give the Dems the hammer to hit them with.
