According to a source close to The Giuliani campaign, Rudy Giuliani is throwing his hat into the ring. The Hinzsight Report confirms, through a source close to the Giuliani campaign, that he is presently sending people out into all 50 states to secure his name on the primary ballots. "Despite Mayor Giuliani's public cautiousness, this is evidence that he is seriously pursuing the Presidency in 2008, and he should be taken very seriously. Critical state polls have shown Mayor Giuliani leading the pack, and it's about time that he start being considered what he is--the front-runner" a source tells The Hinzsight Report. Giuliani has lined up nearly 300 key Republican supporters in New Jersey for his bid for the 2008 presidential nomination, his campaign announced this week. In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of New Jersey voters, it showed Giuliani leading all Republican presidential candidates and ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic contender, in a head-to-head matchup. The New Jersey primary, which is currently set for Feb. 26, is likely to move up to Feb. 5, placing it early in the campaign season and increasing its significance. As many as 15 states could hold their Republican presidential primaries Feb. 5, reports Gannett. |
I read that somewhere else, but I can't remember where.
To be honest, I was not even going down that road. My point was simply that he did not serve in the military and a former Army Ranger like Hunter would be better qualified to lead the WoT.
I will save the 'good stuff' for the real competition.
Please provide a link as I don't think that is correct. Romney's NRA rating is a "B" and Kayne Robinson is not opposed to working with him as POTUS. I imagine their electability ratings would be in reverse. And then, the question is: Would you want Hillary, Edwards or Obama (all gun-grabbing F's) or Romney with his B?
Romney on guns:
Americans should have the right to own and possess firearms as guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution. Im proud to be among the many decent, law-abiding men and women who safely use firearms. - Governor Mitt Romney, 01-12-2007,2005
Also, in 2005, Romney designated May 7 as The Right to Bear Arms Day in Massachusetts to honor the right of decent, law-abiding citizens to own and use firearms in defense of their families, persons, and property and for all lawful purposes, including the common defense.

No it's not. There are people who claim that Rudy is the best qualified to lead the War on Terror. I think that someone who led a Ranger unit in Nam would be more qualified.
It's not MY news; it's the real world, which seems to be spinning out of YOUR control.
All those people cannot be stupid, Spiff, just to make your right.
I thought you were rising above that! LOL!
I could handle Rudy having a "leave it to the states" abortion stance if he were at least conservative on other issues, which he's not. Esp. the gun-grabbing thing.
Good luck holding off the 82nd Airborne or convincing them to follow Generalissimo jmc813 instead of the President.
Please see my earlier post on this. I'm not calling him a draft-dodger. He made the decision, however, to not pursue military service. In retrospect, my wording, although accurate, might have been misleading.
Carton, I understand what you're saying, but, as I was just reminded on another thread, at this time all is fair because it's before the primaries.
And I was almost reminded that Hunter was involved in that check kiting business a long time ago to the tune of $129,000.00.
Now that's gonna leave a mark.
Apparently some here can't get over their training on the Yahoo! boards.
Mods help to restrain the wild ones but posters can't help being nasty, a matter of upbringing, I guess.
I heard him speak election night 2004. I was in Miami working for the Bush campaign, and he came to party headquarters. He really had everyone fired up, and most of them were very conservative Cuban-Americans. Very charismatic!
Thanks for proving what we all already knew: you all think you're right to the exclusion of all other opinions.
Being in the military does not necessarily qualify you for president and lead the WOT. Case in point - John Kerry!
Misleading but accurate.
LOL
I haven't used the NRA's rating in a decade. They care more for "hunting" than for actual Second Amendment Rights.
Governor Mitt Romney and Firearms Policy According to his 2002 gubernatorial campaign, Romney is a supporter of the federal assault weapons ban. Mitt also believes in the rights of those who hunt to responsibly own and use firearms. July 1st, 2002 Mitt Romney signed a permanent ban on Assault Weapons. Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts, Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony with legislators, sportsmens groups and gun safety advocates. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.
Whoops... So much for Mitt having a clue about what the Second Amendment is for.
Thats not Hunter. I will not do anymore of the actual candidates for the REP nomination not even McCaniac everything else is fair game, LOL!
posters = some posters
Isn't that what you are doing? That only your chosen RINO could possibly beat the Dem candidate? Despite there being any evidence to support you?
