Rudy Giuliani Throws Hat Into 2008 Presidential Ring
Post Chronicle ^ | 2/1/07

Posted on 02/01/2007 5:41:39 AM PST by areafiftyone

According to a source close to The Giuliani campaign, Rudy Giuliani is throwing his hat into the ring.  The Hinzsight Report confirms, through a source close to the Giuliani campaign, that he is presently sending people out into all 50 states to secure his name on the primary ballots.

"Despite Mayor Giuliani's public cautiousness, this is evidence that he is seriously pursuing the Presidency in 2008, and he should be taken very seriously.

Critical state polls have shown Mayor Giuliani leading the pack, and it's about time that he start being considered what he is--the front-runner" a source tells The Hinzsight Report.

Giuliani has lined up nearly 300 key Republican supporters in New Jersey for his bid for the 2008 presidential nomination, his campaign announced this week.

In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of New Jersey voters, it showed Giuliani leading all Republican presidential candidates and ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic contender, in a head-to-head matchup.

The New Jersey primary, which is currently set for Feb. 26, is likely to move up to Feb. 5, placing it early in the campaign season and increasing its significance.  As many as 15 states could hold their Republican presidential primaries Feb. 5, reports Gannett.

Then why are you push a man who shares the same views with that Democratic congress on 90%+ of the issues? Just because this liberal has and R by the name?

Cite and prove this idiotic statistic. I can prove, however, that you appear on every nearly Rudy thread with your anti-Rudy nonsense - a better question would be, why are you obsessed with him?

If it's a choice between ignoring either Newt's or Rudy's trashy life I'll choose the one I agree with.

You mean like this?

Find any post where I have supported Rudy or be known as a liar.

The Democrat field is big this time too with stronger candidates. We are going to have to work real hard to defeat them.

I wish it rained beer rather than water. Adults know that wanting is not the same thing as getting.

Have you listened to Rudy speak about the WOT or read any of the articles posted by National Review online about interviews with Rudy? Reporters who listen to him are blown away, to use their words.

He stood up to the mob and he's standing up to the extremists and has no intention of backing down. Since he lived through 9/11 and the anguish he felt over losing friends was clearly seen on his face, it's evident that his feelings are heartfelt and it's not lipservice.

They need to be INCLUDED in the platform and embraced by a successful candidate.

FGS, Tommy, at least be honest enough to admit that the Religious Right has held the platform hostage for the last two decades; they've had it ALL their way.

And why do THEY have to be embraced? Why can't THEY do some embracing for a change?

The thing about this is that is so worrisome is that voters like me, Republicans like me, ARE going to unite behind whoever the nominee is; the Religious Right just cannot be counted on to do that.

And to them, that makes US unprincipled? Why should THEY write a platform when WE are the ones doing the voting most of the time?

I really think we agree on how to win, we just disagree on who best would unite the party.

What we don't agree on is the fact that you believe that unless you get your candidate nominated by all of US, then the candidate isn't a good one or one you'd support.

You're right - the Dems do have some solid political players - like them or not - agree or not - we have to defeat them in the political arena.

Straight talk - no B.S.

Solid ideas - no wavering

Solutions for adults please - "the children" don't vote

Reagan's Rule - do not put down fellow Republicans - no need

Separate Social Issues from National Defense and Economic

RELAX - don't get edgy - enjoy the process

Isn't that the truth? If they're going to leave, leave, damnit, and stop sticking around to tell us you're going to leave and then trying to insist WE vote like they would have if they had stayed!

Fair enough, but does that make him better "hands down" over Hunter?

Do you know if he is a veteran?

"And as you can see, there's no difference between Rudy and Hillary."

In many respects you are totally correct, but, between Hillary and Rudy, who would you rather be fighting the war on terror as president?

Unless he can forge a coalition, he will split the party.

If he wins in the primaries and becomes the nominee, he HAS formed a coalition. Then it will be you and the people that won't vote for the Republican nominee that are out of step with the party. Call it whatever you wish, but you and the rest of the unappeasables will be the ones splitting the party and helping the democrats by refusing to support the nominee. I'll vote for whoever the Repubs nominate, even if its McCain, because a democrat would be a disaster for our country, particularly our military.
