According to a source close to The Giuliani campaign, Rudy Giuliani is throwing his hat into the ring. The Hinzsight Report confirms, through a source close to the Giuliani campaign, that he is presently sending people out into all 50 states to secure his name on the primary ballots. "Despite Mayor Giuliani's public cautiousness, this is evidence that he is seriously pursuing the Presidency in 2008, and he should be taken very seriously. Critical state polls have shown Mayor Giuliani leading the pack, and it's about time that he start being considered what he is--the front-runner" a source tells The Hinzsight Report.
Giuliani has lined up nearly 300 key Republican supporters in New Jersey for his bid for the 2008 presidential nomination, his campaign announced this week. In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of New Jersey voters, it showed Giuliani leading all Republican presidential candidates and ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic contender, in a head-to-head matchup. The New Jersey primary, which is currently set for Feb. 26, is likely to move up to Feb. 5, placing it early in the campaign season and increasing its significance. As many as 15 states could hold their Republican presidential primaries Feb. 5, reports Gannett. |

What's so great about Giuliani's record on terrorism? I far as I can tell, he can get up in front of an audience and speechify about how nasty the terrorists are and how tough we need to be. Anyone can do that, and nearly all candidates will do that. What makes Rudy uniquely qualified to lead the war against terrorism?
To: MadIvan
Exactly. It's beyond me why they don't get it; unless they don't want to get it.

So Rino Rudy wants to split the party does he.
I'm no Rudy fan by any stretch of the imagination, BUT, if you're in reference to the GOP, I thought the party was already split. Let's see we have a few Conservatives, the Moderates (Liberals), the bloviating, Do-Nothing segment, the "Watch Us Spend Like Drunken Sailors" wing, the Pedophile group, The "We Can Be More Corrupt Than Any Congress Before" bunch. Yeah, I'd say the Party is already split.

One of my most admired characteristics.
It is my firm belief that a liberal is such because the liberal lacks this characteristic entirely.

Guns and abortion are my two top issues. I will not vote of any Presidential candidate that is on the wrong side of these.I've already made my contempt for your uninformed opinion clear. You're being irresponsible and doltish, what's worse, is that you're rubbing it in everyone's faces across the world. You hate Rudy: we. get. it. Thank you and goodbye.

Think carefully. Hillary the Leader of the Free World. Absorb the consequences of that possibility and then come back.

I want STRAIGHT answers from a Rudy-ophile to these questions:
1.) Rudy said Roe vs. Wade is "good law." True or False?
2.) When asked to name a good SCOTUS justice in an interview, Rudy once named Ruth Bader Ginsberg. True or False.
3.) Rudy's actual RECORD on appointing judges is what?
a.) Very, Very Liberal judges.
b.) Social Libertarian Moderates.
c.) Constitutionalists in the mold of Roberts and Scalia.
4.) Rudy Giuliani:
a.) Supported the nomination of Clarence Thomas.
b.) Opposed the nomination of Clarence Thomas.
Straight answers, especially to #3, please.

Keep saying that over and over and maybe you can convince yourself it's true, if you don't already believe it.
In the end, most of the sane, mature people will realize what is at stake here and do the right thing: in the end, after the primaries, I am going to pull the R lever simply beause there is no other choice.
Hell, much as I disagree with you, I'd vote for YOU rather than a Democrat because I know SOME of the things you espouse are things I agree with and NONE of the things they talk about are things I agree with.
By killing the GOP, you're just killing your own issues; and the GOP will be back, albeit without the likes of you and your fellow one issue voters. The GOP will moderate and then nobody will give one rat's butt what you want or think.

No one has heard Juliana's stance on anything recently, he has the right to evolve, I say let him speak and then we can make up our minds!

But conservatives aren't voting for Hillary, are they?
No, but the GOP needs them to vote for its nominee.
I see all this talk about values and then you want to put up Newt?
Newt has personal issues, just like Rudy. Newt is correct on the issues, unlike Rudy.
Not gonna happen.
We shall see. If the GOP field remains as it is now it will happen.

The words of Jim Robinson on pushing a liberal like Rino Rudy. With all due respect, Jim could be wrong. I'm sure Mrs. Robinson reminds him all the time. ;-)
I wish it was only our grassroots that drive this election but I think it is more complicated than that. I think that Rudy draws in enough moderate independents to offset social conservative defections.
I disagree about a depressed grassroots effort in 2000. As social conservatives, we had our guy and were excited about him. And still we lost the popular vote.

So your principles allow you to ignore Newt's trashy life because he agrees with you?

Pretty puny for starters, Mad. The Rudy fanatics are going to have to do a lot better than that.
