If he wins the primary, the evangelicals and social conservatives would be wise to support the top vote getter. The primary is the time to sort out the candidate selection, and everyone needs to get behind that candidate. If these voters don't do that, than screw 'em and I hope they go form their own third party to go on to lose elections for years to come. I am not sure why some voters think THEY get to dictate that candidates MUST support 100% of their views. How arrogant. There are things I like and dislike about every single candidate I have ever supported. It's politics, and politics is about finding compromise and consensus to get things done amongst many differing viewpoints.I'm with you on this. 'nough said.

Bill Clinton won election in 1996 with 47.5 percent of the 37 percent of the population that voted.

There are a few Freepers around here who are like lightning rods for crappy candidates. If you see them supporting somebody you can rest assured its a loser.Did your candidate win in the Nov. 2006 election?

While I spent most of my career in NYC, I live and vote in GA. Most folks down here are big supporters of the troops and that means Rudy!

He was on H&C last night and said he wouldn't consider getting in until the fall.
This will be all over by then.

the WOT is the most important issue. And on that, Rudy wins hands down. Please explain how you think this is true, saying Rudy wins this issue hands down. You did an excellent job explaining your position on the homosexual thing yesterday, btw.

Rudy stands out from the rest. And Hunter stands out from Rudy even more. Back the right horse, and the election against the Dems will be a cake walk.

I'm trying to make sense of your post. Are you sure it was meant for me? I am not a Rudy supporter at all, quite the contrary. I think you totally misunderstood my post. I am talking about everyone who is determined that if their candidate is not the one who gets nominated then they are gonna throw a hissy fit and not vote. I will vote for the republican nominee but will fight to get the candidate of my choice nominated. And, as of today, I haven't decided who that is gonna be, but it ain't gonna be Rudy.

You know you are really getting to them when proofreading is more important than the message.

Most folks down here are big supporters of the troops and that means Rudy! How is rudy any more for the troops than Hunter, who has military experience, and has a son who served in Iraq. Is Giuliani a verteran?

Hunter has a long way to go. Belief is nice, but until such time as we see him toppling those with more visibility, this is not a likely scenario.
Secondly, no member of the House has been directly elected President since James Garfield in 1880. That's a huge burden of history.
