Yes, Rudy Giuliani Is a Conservative

Personally, I prefer Tancredo although I admire "America's Mayor," and this article sheds some light on Rudy's little known conservative and courageous accomplishments.

Oh yes, we know an FR poll is scientific accurate/sarcasm. I'm sorry but 32.8% of the population doesn't know who Duncan Hunter is. Heck, I doubt 3.28% know who he is. I do know he has no shot of winning, especially in the general and neither does Newt. But Rudy is our best shot at beating Hillary.

Moderates and Indies are the people who actually make or break a candidate. This is NOT a Conservative country, nor does it have a Conservative voting majority. And when the UNAPPEASEABLES stay home or vote fringe, we need the moderates and the Indies more than ever!

If you still don't see much difference, than you are blind.

Hillary doesn't have a lock on the nomination. But, IF she is the Dem presidential candidate, no, all Conservatives, as they have stated here, will NOT vote against her; some WILL vote for here, if their particular favorite doesn't get the GOP nomination.

Nope, you didn't "hit a nerve" at all; I just don't countenance such silly statements.

Oh, yeah? Well, anyway, the one Texasforever pretty much cover it, bud!

Had to go back almost a year to find a second one. And it was frustration at an unexplained 3-day suspension.

Still waiting for where I "regularly trash" Free Republic "24/7".

It's also funny how you're all carefully avoiding my posts defending Free Republic and Jim Robinson.

Thanks for that post! Very well said and something some folks miss when talking about Conservatism and who is what. Conservative does not equal religious right -- that group is ONLY a part of Conservatives but must admit very vocal part. They are not the base of Conservative Republicans because us members of the base do not threaten to stay home and not vote if we don't like the Republican nominee -- we hold our noses and vote for him in the general election for President.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...but Hunter has poo pooed having to raise at least 100 million dollars, to run in the primaries; after all, he's a Conservative, he says and doesn't NEED to prove it. What he NEEDS is knowledge; he doesn't know that he NEEDS that kind of money to run a successful primary race.

Oh! so the little religious maniac [yes I wasted time and checked out your homepage links] has a crystal ball and can read minds huh!

You don't know me from diddly squat and your not the type of person I would wish to be associated with, so quit it with your lies.

Go and find a bucket, spade and a sandbox somewhere to play in and leave it to the adults to decide what's to become of the fate of the country.

I never called for anyone to be banned. I don't believe that someone should be banned for voting in a poll for Giuliani. However, I do believe that promoting the most liberal major Republican presidential candidate ever who also holds views counter to the majority of the Republican Party Platform is in direct opposition to the conservative goals and mission of this website.

Thats an awful small sample of even FR. In the context of the greater electorate it is meaningless.

That's why I just sent money to gohunter08.com I don't do that lightly even though I don't have the money that the Giuliani supporters have (hint: think about the trial lawyers who will get rich suing gun manufacturers). But I think it's important to put money behind principles rather than rely on the elites to select the candidates.

Law and Order: His law and order record does not go well beyond clearing the streets of squeegee men, bums, and hookers. Some tout his efforts to go after organized crime, but he lost all credibility on that when it was exposed that he'd appointed a corrupt high school dropout with mob ties to be the Commissioner of the New York Police Department. Bernie Kerik, again. Giuliani went on to strong arm President Bush into appointing Kerik to one of the top law enforcement positions in the country - the head of the Department of Homeland Security. Kerik had to withdraw his name when he was later indicted for his crimes for which he received an even later conviction. He avoided jail, but narrowly.
