Personally, I prefer Tancredo although I admire "America's Mayor," and this article sheds some light on Rudy's little known conservative and courageous accomplishments.
I thought one of the main differences in some of us around here is that we see the NEED to compromise and are willing to, as opposed to the ones around here that wouldn't compromise on their share of a piece of cake.
HONK! HONK!
I'm talking about the 100 percenter crowd: "If you don't agree with me 100%, I won't support you."
Why isn't 75-80% enough?
Some conservatives seek to preserve the status quo, while others seek to return to the values of an earlier time, the status quo ante.--Wikipedia
I would have to say I am of the status quo ante. What we have today is a bunch of Republican Politicians formerly known as conservative who became too comfortable, and became complacent to their jobs of promoting conservative ideas and traditions, the reason they were elected in the first place. This last election, hopefully, was a wakeup call to return to the old fashioned conservative beliefs which, though old fashioned, do promote progress.
Pardon the run-on :)
They will be same consequences that social conservatives will suffer if Rudy is elected.
There is no substantive difference between these two social liberals.
Angry screed???? Somebody wet in your Wheaties this morning, or are you always this friendly just because someone voices an opinion which differs from your own?
Then you of all people should know better than to equate 'abortion' and 'the religious angle' as you did in post 54.
So you're saying that if we pick a different candidate than you do, we don't have a conscience!
Anything ELSE you think the rest of us who are beneath you don't have?
Want to go for values now?
I'm curious how someone who is pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-gay rights, and pro-amnesty is gonna deliver anywhere near fifty percent of what social and gun-rights conservatives want in a candidate.
And that's exactly what you're supposed to do! It's what primaries are all about. You and others like you are behind Hunter, and I, and those like me are behind Rudy. In the end, someone's candidate is going to win, and we all need to be grown up enough to realize we're not all behind the same guy.
"They will be same consequences that social conservatives will suffer if Rudy is elected.

One word describes your comment: IGNORANT.
There are many compelling reasons to not elect a Rudy Giuliani. There is a full year ahead of us, the guy hasn't even entered the race yet, and you people are demanding that we all accept the liberal as the nominee. Seems to me that the Rudy supporters are not only stupid, but blind as well.
Then why on God's earth do you do that 24/7 on this very forum?
Why isn't 75-80% enough?
That would be the best President in a hundred years. Which candidates would be that conservative?
Insulting the core values of the base ain't gonna win them to the Guiliani camp. I'm really not sure who dreamed up this strategy, but it's a pretty bad one.
I put the war as issue #1! Rudy isn't Hillary lite. He could eat her for breakfast and still ask for more.
Don't be fooled by his smile...as a former New Yorker and a person who puts the war with Islamofascism #1...Rudy is a killer.
He will lock this country down to islam. He will empower the courts and he will define this enemy down to the bone.
If you think otherwise...you don't know Rudy.
We have a long way to go to be supporting a Liberal at this stage.
Why surrender? Why not fight?
I thought I asked you not to post to me, Howlin.
Liberals generally do not believe in locking up criminals and throwing away the key.
Liberals are not generally hated - really, really hated - by Al Sharpton, Alton Maddox, the Village Voice, the NYCLU, and every commie scumbag in the five boroughs.
Liberals generally do not believe that people are responsible for the choices they make.
Will you support Hunter if he defeats Rudy?
