Rudy reaches out across the board especially to us small government conservatives who support the WOT and our defense as our #1 priority. Pat Robertson came out in support of Rudy as someone he can support. Guess he just got kicked out of the 'true' conservative group.
You see, uniting the one issue conservatives is not as important as getting the common sense conservatives who want to win in coalition with the rest of the Republicans, Indy's, and conservative Democrats who also place WOT and national security at the top of their lists along with smaller government. Social issues are not going to take center stage in this election -- the hand was overplayed and will not be the big issue because no President can get Roe v Wade overturned and sent back to the States where it belongs. Sorry to burst your bubble but there are many Republicans who are also Conservative that don't put abortion even close to the top of their list when looking at a candidate. Bill Bennett was one in his list.
