Many skeptics continue to question whether Rudy Giuliani is serious about making a run for the White House, but it was abundantly clear on Saturday that he had come to Manchester for more than the sub-freezing temperatures.
Addressing over 500 activists at the New Hampshire Republican Party's annual meeting as part of a two-day swing through the state, Giuliani sketched the broad outlines of what looks like a presidential run. Sounding at times like a motivational speaker, Giuliani cautioned against cynicism and pessimism in the wake of November's election results and challenges in the ongoing War on Terror. The message especially resonated with the audience in this critical primary state, where the Republican Party just lost control of both chambers of the legislature for the first time since the 1870s.
"The best way we remain safe and we retain our freedom...is remaining on offense, remaining strong and not becoming weak in a time of pressure," Giuliani said in a line that drew the biggest applause from the crowd at the Palace Theater.

Right. Which is why he thumbed his nose at the law and Congress to make NYC a sanctuary for hundreds of thousands of illegal foreign nationals.
Well...I for one am NOT running for the nomination. I formed an exploratory committee and my wife told me I just wanted an excuse to get together with my beer buddies and explore some cold san miguels. She is just too cynical and my beer buddies resent the hell out of the implication.
I don't intend to say any such thing, sorry.
Hitliary seeminly supports the war on terror, why don't you vote for her?
There's no "R" by her name, but you can pretend there is!
Ed
There aren't that many. These are Giuliani operatives trying to stir up excitement and interest among otherwise conservative people in order to gain enough strength from the right to make his appear viable. Notice that Rudy isn't even in the race yet, so why all the hype here? It's free advertising for Rudy.
OK, we're calling you on this one, show us the links and data that substantiates those pitiful accusations you just made.
"I don't intend to say any such thing, sorry."
So much for the "brilliant" reply, then.
If that suits you - go ahead.
What points have you made? I haven't see any other than you don't like gays - you are upset about gays - you don't like Rudy liking gays. Have you got any other points you'd like to discuss?
I am working for someone, the American voter. I am not working for Rudy Giuliani, unlike many of you. Are you on the payroll at Giuliani Partners?
Lord knows that word of mouth thing has hotted up re: Dumper Humpkin alright. I've heard cats in heat make less noise.
Do you have any other points. Or do you want to just keep repeating this over and over?
Oh my EV - the Keyes man. Are you here to get some serious bashing in?
Conservative Freepers will never vote for a gun-grabbing liberal who supports partial-birth abortion.
Same goes for conservatives all cross the country.
Ed
If nominated will you run?
And just think - you are helping :-)
I'm sure Rudy appreciates it :-)
Rooiight there TD. What a load of crap! I put that fertizer away for my spring garden.
You have trashed this candidate from the get-go and in doing so have helped the Hillary/Obama candidacy and the other "cut and run" democrats win.
Out troops thank you big time...NOT.
Thx for nuttin.
No, where do I sign up?
I realize that this thread is almost 500 posts long, and I don't expect anyone to read every post, but if you had you would realize that I am not 100% in Rudys corner. I do have problems with many of his social positions, but I am keeping my options over. I consider myself a strong Conservative, socially and fiscally. I also realize that if we lose the War on Terror, all bets are off, and if you can honestly say with a straight face that Hillary is comparable to Rudy when it comes to the WOT, I will never waste my time responding again.
From the looks of this Rudy thread tonight, there is a lot of animosity amongst the posters, and I am not willing to get into that fray, but I have yet to see any pro - Rudy posters flame anti - Rudy posters for their choice candidates (OK, maybe the Alan Keyes, and Ron Paul supporters), yet all of the anti - Rudy posters have had nothing constructive to say, only to flame the undecideds (like me). If the anti - Rudy posters are trying to sway opinions, they are going about it the wrong way.
I have seen a few intelligent posts from a Duncan Hunter supporter, and I will look closer at his positions because of it.
