10,000 die hards banging 600 votes each is 6 million. That's all it takes to win something like this. Chris is platinum already and has two legit top ten hits. Outside of the POS song they gave him to sing he hasn't done much.
In the end for this business the only votes that matter are downloads and CD sales.

I was thinking that this week reminds me of the first week. Very uneventful. Is it the sound system?

There's not much singing in this song in general, but his voice was just kind of off. Like he wasn't getting enough air or something.

I've been doing a lot more lurking that engaging in conversation for a while know. Sometimes the effort is just to great. I don't know what Pogo is but I'm sure it's more fun than working out. LOL

I guess it's "Interesting Background Information Week" for the Idols. Well, we know what Skankonella does in her spare time! ;)

Finally...I know a song! And it reminded me of junior high. He wasn't that bad...at least he didn't put us to sleep.

The way I figure it, I'd rather immerse myself in Idol where my opinions are as good as the next guy's, instead of dumbly watching a bunch of know-it-all talking heads say predictable things day in and day out.

However, Hicks has a limited market to sell records - he'll be back in obscurity in no time.
He may not sell mega-records over time, but he will certainly not fade into obscurity. Go see him live. He has a plan, he knows music, and starting with a passionate fan base isn't a bad thing. The further away from Idol the guy gets, the better he will be. Give it time and you will see.
To: Miss Didi
OK WTH was that with Seacrest.,...saying "How bad do you want it." then following with "Well this IS Hollywood"??????????
Holy Hannah!

Rueben can sing gospel and sell albums that you will not likely hear about but there is a big fan base for that stuff. Gay Clay is a multi-platinum artist who can really sing in a dentist office baskground music sort of way. Verrrrry smooth but not my thing. The other artists appeal to a cross section of people who buy music for iPod/MP3.

Someone tell Phil Stacy not to open his eyes really wide like that. It makes him even scarier then normal.
Dear God!! What is wrong with his voice?? Those first few words were horrifying.
