The wannabe pop star at the centre of American Idol's latest scandal has been offered a lucrative deal to front an adult video company.

I think Antonella, will NOT pose for any nudie mags, but do the Victoria's Secret, Fredrick's catalog thing. Maybe even TV commercials. If she was smart that's exactly where she should make her career choice. I'll bet there's offer's for her we could not imagine at this point and eventhough she has "Skank" characteristics, don't think she is totally devoid of making an intellegent, wise decision.

She's 19 yrs old, her attitude relects her age in this selfish day, her past actions have also shown ill choice, but unlike anyone here, I see a promising career with her making smart, mature, determitive choices. Because of her LOOKS and the specail attention paid to her online pics, yes, that's is all I am basing this on.,..she has a good chance to make something special out of those immature choices she previously made.

If ONLY she could sing!!!

I believe you're right. I'm afraid she won't win. If it gets close to the end, I'm voting like mad for her and Lakisha.

She did. I'm not sure she looked all that happy to be there.

I never thought I would say this about these 2, but at least they were ENTERTAINING!..Sangaya is not only a poor singer, he just leaves you feeling a little bit icky after watching him.

Have to agree with you.

What was up with that? They bring Carrie out, let her sing and then go to commercial. We didn't get to see any conversation between her and the judges? I wanted to see/hear that part. I thought that was crummy.

I'm calling it - Ai has jumped the shark this year. The relief project makes it official.

I was looking forward to that & then it never happened. Kind of defines the season so far. :)

JFWIW, I gave the Gherkin's album a spin and it's really cute. 19 Records is good at cute. It works for the girls. Not so much for Bo or Daughtry. The song selections on the album aren't ambitious but they are well produced. Not the kind of songs you'd want to listen to over and over and over again, but the kind that fill out a country playlist on the ol' iPod. She's got a darling little "I'm just a tomboy!" sentiment running through the songs that ties the whole album together. Again, it's cute. And made me smile. I really identify with the song Small Town Girl. The one she sang last week on the show, I Wonder, is a good one, too.

We sure have enough worthy causes here in the states, that's for sure.

3.8.07: Sally Struthers Presents AI

http://www.mediafiends.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=934

Ugh. Ryan makes the special announcement & I thought it was beyond lame. AI wants to give back by making sponsors & viewers give money to help them in Africa & the States. Yeah it's a good thing I get it. But I thought that was such a so what moment & just made AI look pathetic & patting themselves on the back for doing good. I don't know. Maybe I am just a jerk. So on April 24th the Top 6 will sing inspirational songs & for every vote the sponsors will donate X amount of dollars. On the 25th we will get to make our own donations. Lucky us. Quincy Jones is writing a song for the show & Gwen Stefani, Pink, Josh Grobin, Michael Buble, Annie Lennox & Bono will have some involvement w/ the show.

AI knows this season is a turkey so they have to bring out the big stars for a telethon.

Next: the AI contestants sing for you as they dance through a Cambodian field detonating land mines...

There is no one in that list that I 'want' to see.

I think they'd have better luck if each year, once the final 12 are chosen, let the following week be 'vote for the person you want to leave' week. Then donate money per vote cast. I think the phones lines would be smoking. They could even have different charities/causes available.

We have needy vets, families of our military, uninsured citizens, elderly with prescription problems, scads of organizations like St. Judes, Make a Wish ect. We send so much overseas in foreign aid already. It's American Idol. Let World or International Idol donate money to international causes. jmo

Hey, on a happier note - I think you both are Taylor fans like me. The wifey and I are going to see him tonight in Atlanta. I actually won a pre-show pass to meet him as well. Should be fun and I hear his concerts are very good.
