What are you going to do when you find out that Creationists - not atheist scientists who think natural history "proves" that God doesn't exist, but Creationists -- are tools of the same devil the bible warns is an expert at disguising himself as goodness? And in retrospect, a disguise you should have spotted because he dealt in falseness and denial in order to appeal to your pride?
When are you going to notice that neither evolution nor the age of the earth negates or challenges the Ten Commandments or the Seven Deadly Sins? Indeed, evolution confirms them because societies that basically attempt to abide by just those 17 items, have thrived and multiplied, while others that don't have dwindled and even become extinct?
God's plan has always worked and always will work no matter how He put us here or where He's taking us regardless of paleontological truths.
Owned.
if you really look into the evolution theory you will see how completely false it is. It was only proposed as a false scientific theory to try and create doubt about God. But it is easily put to shame. How is that prideful to see that? Seems like that is God given insight supported by much scientific facts.
THANK YOU! - EXACTLY HOW I FEEL!
Who was it that began the scientific method? MONKS Why? Because they wanted to know the mind of God...and God granted them the Holy Spirit to discover His creation. All else is just fascination.
Thnak you for eloquently putting so many people's thoughts into such few, but accurate, words. I am sure you will be flamed for it, but often the truth hurts. To many people have gone from worshipping God to worshipping the Bible and have fallen into the trap you describe.
Assuming that you are both right that creation week was longer than 7 days - yet you may also choose to believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour - would you please pinpoint for me exactly where the 'allegories' end and the 'truth' begins?
For me it is only all true - 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Furthermore, fulfilled (and yet to be fulfilled) prophecies set the Bible distinct and unique among all other texts...
