Yes, the parallels between GWB and Wilson are remarkably close. Interestingly, Sigmund Freud (yes, Freud) wrote a fascinating book on Wilson. Naturally, he had field day as he analyzed Wilson's Christ-like pretensions.

I bet Freud would have had a field day with you as well. Your ability to see yourself as a god is just astounding. Perhaps you should see a psychologist.

Curiously I don't think GWB intended to be a Wilsonian evangel. It was mission creep. Began as a WMD issue..Morphed into removing Saddam and the Baathists then evolved into a democracy gambit...then became an anti-terror gambit then a nation building gambit and then a lets turn Iraq intoa platform for "remaking the map of the middle east." The ultimate in mission creep.

My read?...Either send overwhelming force or don't bother. 20k is chump change and more mission creep. The same mistake we made in Vietnam. Incrementalism at its worst.

For all the sincerity of this effort I think it is too little too late.

What parralls, oh great and wondrous Oz?

Are you now saying that President Bush has a Saviour complex?

It's a shame that the Admin Mod has left you standing, but since the Mod said that we can use you for a pinata, I'm going to beat you. :-)

Come on, let's hear how "alike" President Bush and Wilson are.

Was the president a college prof and then president?

No.

Is the president allowing France and England to make his decisions for him?

No.

Did the president promise to keep us out of war?

No.

How about the UN, which is the child of the dreadful Wilsonian League of Nations?

Did the president chop up Iraq into three parts?

NO.

Is the presidents wife running things?

No, but Wilson's wife did.

Was Wilson instrumental in toppling any dictator, anywhere?

No!

How about taxes?

No comparisons there either!
