It is reported that Senator Lott has a list of 10 names of GOP senators who have elected to stand with the democrats, instead of supporting our own WAR TIME, GOP POTUS.
Brownback;
Coleman;
Lugar?;
Snow;
Collins;
Hagel;
and likely
Voinovich;
Smith;
Two have not yet been named (outed).
.
Republican Sens. George Voinovich of Ohio and John Warner of Virginia also might be persuaded. Warner said he supports the Iraq Study Group recommendations, which strongly cautioned against an increase in troops unless advocated by military commanders.
Go away! You don't bother me.
Yes, he hid after Mary Jo but he was young and slimmer. I was kidding about him being unable to hide because of his size.
The only one that surprises me is Coleman. I thought he was smarter than that.
Try to connect the dots bro. Border security . . . national security.
There is a relationship.
Not a very reasoned response :)
If we seized Iraq's oil fields, we could pay ourselves back for the military cost. We could give money to the kurds and we could give money to Sunnis and Shias that support us. If they don't support us, we let them starve.
Our policy in the Middle east should be if you attack us, declare war on us or support our enemies you will lose your oil fields.
I guarantee that they need the oil revenue more than we need the oil. The whole Middle East problem will be solved in less than a year. We can always make oil out of coal and we have enough to last for a thousand years.
While we are at it we should also quit giving money to any country that doesn't whole heartedly support us.
Well, first of all, I'm not a "bro". Secondly, this thread was very specifically about the GOP senators not supporting the Pres on his Iraq policy, not about national security in general.
You should! I do, as well; having already lived through it, I do know what it's going to be like.
Sorry, I keyed off on the wrong post, I was aiming at another target,
I agree about Coleman, but I believe Minnesota has gone blue since the JFK years.
You are not only a traitor, but a complete and utter fool.
I'll second that sentiment.
I know
But he is really a small creature
Do you have ANY idea at all, what the world, including American response would be, to having our troops seize the oil fields in Iraq?
And just HOW do you propose that the military not only do that, but also work the fields and ship the oil back home? That IS theft, BTW, and also so completely an implausible and unworkable suggestion, that I must ask ask you....HOW OLD ARE YOU?
Oh wonderful...let those who don't support us starve. And just HOW do we know WHO supports us and who doesn't?
Are we now responsible for feeding every single Kurd and Sunni and Shia?
Remove your fingers from the key board, back away sloooooooooowly, and go do a whole lot of research on the Middle East, oil, warfare, and American history before you post again.
In our minds maybe but not to look at, lol.
Chuckle!.....
Let me say this about that..Until you can ask a question of me that reflects a fully fledged adult personality adequately reared in the basics of civil discourse will I deign to respond to your posts. Is this abundantly clear,Psycho?
Would you care to try again?
No?
So be it...
Scratch Allen, scratch Brownback! Two down, more to go.
