It is reported that Senator Lott has a list of 10 names of GOP senators who have elected to stand with the democrats, instead of supporting our own WAR TIME, GOP POTUS.

The list thus far:

Brownback;

Coleman;

Lugar?;

Snow;

Collins;

Hagel;

and likely

Voinovich;

Smith;

Two have not yet been named (outed).

.

A few quotes:

I have not read through this thread and it is a very fast moving one. I can only imagine the comments.

I can hold my own when the situation demands, if that is what you really mean.

Well....to be fair Freud did have throat cancer and his morphine use was not recreational and no more recreational than US Grant's use of Laudanum was recreational.

No, actually, I don't do that at all.

And there are many better words for the cut&run naysayers, which I am more than happy to use, if, as you claim, I have somehow devalued the word coward. :-)

**which gave him such notoriety and high esteem amongst the elitist intellectuals, who were also quite liberal and in control of our Universities**

And, unfortunately, they still are.

I'm really surprised that Brownback and Coleman are on this list.

At the time, they had no idea of the dangers of Cocaine, Freud would prescribe it to most of his patients, children included. He eventually had so many problems related to drug use, he gave them up completely. But he never did recover fully after that, the damage has been irreparable.

Yes, I have researched some of his history and gladly invite new information when ever I can get it.

Read FR's archives from late '99 through 2000. You'll then have a far better appreciation of what FR is like during a presidential primary and election season.But a whole lot of deleted posts aren't going to help you realize what it was REALLY like. LOL

I've supported the troops and the mission all the way, still do, but I cannot argue with the quote attributed to Senator Coleman, nor with your statement...Too little, too late.

“If Iraq is going to fulfill its role as a sovereign and democratic state, it must start acting like one. It is for this reason that I oppose the proposal for a troop surge.” – Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn.

I don't believe that sending more American troops is going to help Iraqis become better at self-governing, nor will it decisively take out the terrorists that air strikes could have vaporized long ago.

All the same, I wish our guys the best. If Petraeus can lead them to victory, then "Git 'er done."

Can't refute me, can you?

Can't even join in a civil debate!

Please take your own advice, since you are the one who is totally clueless; not I....pinata.

Coleman is in a seriously BLUE State. He has to stay moderate in all forms. He barely won his last election and if he shows support for this President, he will be doomed....

Or should I say; DOOOOMMMED if he does, and really DOOOOMMMED if he don't (bad grammar not withstanding)

Well, I'll take your word for that. I'm sure it was brutal then as well. I was just hoping we would be able to at least put it off for a little while longer. Or, even better, act more civilized this time. Apparently not.

Biden will be rude and arrogant. I won't watch.

Yes, that's his way.

Maybe Joe will highlight his appearance with another fifteen minute speech, with various head nods, eye rolls, and hand gestures with no question at the end.

;-)
