BS. Women were highly regarded, and equals in life. LIfe has diferent roles for men and women.

Not true. Women were considered *property*. They were beaten. They were raped. They could not own property...etc etc

Perhaps that is what you *purist* types are really after - a return to colonial times - where blacks are slaves and women are about the same?

And let's not forget the witch trials and the burning of supposed witches at the stake. Do you want to go back to that as well?
