WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney's pregnant lesbian daughter Mary will make a "fine mom," President George W. Bush said, sidestepping his past comment that a child ideally would be raised by a mother and father.
Mary Cheney, 37, and her longtime partner, Heather Poe, are expecting their first child, which would be the sixth grandchild for the vice president. Cheney was hired last year as an executive for America Online.
"I think Mary is going to be a loving soul to her child. And I'm happy for her," Bush said in an interview with People magazine.
Exactly so.

He said more than that: "I think Mary is going to be a loving soul to her child. And I'm happy for her...a great mom, etc". Far more than needed to be said, unless he is wholeheartedly in support of such arrangements.

The fact is that the homosexual agenda is leftist, pursues domination, rejects traditional morality in every sense of the word, and is part of the platform of leftists since there were leftists. A chaotic citizenry (which will happen - is happening - the more the natural family is destroyed) - is an easy group of people to dominate. A citizenry in chaos will welcome a benevolent dictator who will fix everything.

Anyone can play the all-or-nothing or the let-me-redefine-you game. That's just silly. No one has suggested we impose all of the old Jewish law on Americans. That doesn't mean it has no moral truth to offer civilization. Are you suggesting we impose all the ideas of every secular humanist or radical philosopher just so long as he had no belief in the Bible?
I remember just a few short years ago when the argument was, "What two people do in the privacy of their own bedroom is nobody else's business." Well now it appears to be the business of one small child. It will be the business of the government as to law and benefits....birth certificate, taxes, custody, etc.... and education of everyone else's children who will go to school with this child. They don't live on a deserted island. Some things are mutually exclusive. As a society we cannot embrace vastly contradictory social structures at the same time. One will win out over the other. Two opposite things cannot be true at the same time and two contrary values cannot be embraced at the same time. Basic logic. That's why people like you are attacking the moral values crowd. That's why you are making goofy, unfounded charges/questions/statements like you did above. You want to turn things upside-down, reverse the order of right and wrong. What you will never ever escape is the reality of human life -- we are all a walking testimony to the normalcy of heterosexuality. You can use the force of government to force a denial of reality, but it won't alter reality. Ideas have consequences and the consequences of this denial of reality will keep on giving its destructive gifts. But let the record show it is your side imposing on all. What the public thinks is clear -- and has been clear for thousands of years. And why not? It is the way of nature according to the laws of nature, so no shock that it is in line with the laws of nature's God.
