To: The Republican Party
I am a Christian conservative or social conservative. I am Pro-Life. I vote.
Rudy Giuliani is pro-gay, pro-gun control, and pro-abortion.
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Senator John McCain has waffled on human cloning, has supported experimentation on human embryos, and has attacked prominent Christian clergy because of the, "evil influence that they exercise." John McCain has said of Pro-Life voters, on a public broadcast radio show, that they are, "otherwise intelligent people who say that that's the only issue that will determine their vote." McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade."
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for John McCain for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Sincerely,
Enjoy the minority.
It's where it belongs; if it belongs on FR at all.
Can you rename this thread: What kind of cupcake topping am I?
It might help the RNC regain the majority.
Thanks.
[You had taken it to a personal and insulting level and you know it, F.C.]
You had to shift the blame from your pathetic lack of reasoning and you know it.
"Leave her alone. I read your posts to her and the silly questions you posed to her. Pick on me --- if you can."
As soon as she indicated that she was incapable of rigorous rough and tumble debate, I immediately quit the field and allowed her to coil in a fetal position at the horror of having been called to terms in this nasty Internet thingy.
Who'd a thunk I could be so cruel as to point out that anyone who believed a Muslim could be President (without renouncing the barbarity of the Koran and Sharia law) is an idiot. I stand in awe of your valiant effort to protect a damsel in believe that Sharia law should be allowed a foothold at the presidential level.
Thank goodness for protectors of the weak like you, especially as Muslims are blowing little babies to bits all over the world, and especially after 911.
It takes a better spirit than I have to defend such a position. I commend you.
LOL --- not playing your games. Post to others. I will wait to post to you after we have a nominee, because I'm all but certain you won't approve.
I'll back you, on that bet. It's a sucker's bet and it'll be a shame to take away the poster's money, but what the hey.....LOL
I'm not weighing in on the primary yet, but you have already come to the conclusion that Giuliani is the ONLY POSIIBLE candidate that a Republican can vote for or else he sacrificing his vote. That seems a bit extreme to me? The GOP candidate should be as close to possible I guess Hillary is the greatest gift to left in this country. Now they have a chance to McGovernize the party. To avoid her, the GOP has to vote for a candidate that agreed with her 90% of the time. In 2000, the rundown said that she was to the right of him on social issues. By the way, Giuliani already was defeated by Hillary once.
We need a candidate that is liberal- like 75% of the country.
Show me where I have said anything GOOD about Muslims or Islam! I think you might be imbibing tonight?
Thank you, TeenagedConservative!
Those of us who are older than you remember that conservatives who did not believe that Bush the Elder was perfect enough to vote for wasted their votes on Ross Perot.
That gave us eight years of Bill Clinton........And gave the Chinese Communists missile technology to target American cities with.
If you want to make a statement, do it during the primaries. During the general election, a wasted conservative vote is a left-wing Democrat vote.
You said -- "I hope you are not a religious bigot."
You were saying that to someone else, who pointed out that Mormons were not Christians. That's very true. Pointing out the *facts* of the matter -- in terms of Christianity and its tenets and how Mormonism is a *cult* (in terms of Christian terminology and theology) is not being a bigot.
This is what is taught in Christian circles and it is so well documented that it is way beyond any doubt.
Try checking the classic work from Walter Martin -- "The Kingdom of the Cults". It is very well respected and has been for almost a half a century (in Christian circles and teaching, of course...).
http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Cults-Walter-Martin/dp/0764228218/
And also, you can check out the great granddaughter of Brigham Young (and her husband) who have worked a lifetime documenting the *non-Christian* nature of the theology of the Mormon Church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints).
So, when this other poster tells you that Mormons and their teaching is *not* Christianity and that they pretend to be Christian (like all documented "Christian cults" do) -- he's telling you the facts and the truth.
That's not being a bigot.
Regards,
Star Traveler
Games? LOL
The only possible GOP candidate I oppose right now, is Rudy Giuliani. He's the only real liberal running on the Republican side and he doesn't deserve the vote of any conservative. The others are still in the running for my vote.
THAT is the most open minded comment I have ever seen you post, but admittedly, I usually skip right past your comments.
Someone needs to do something and fast; but, I no longer hold out any hope for that happening.
I know!
It was way back in the late 70's!
Right when "god" changed his mind!
They held on to that whole cursed-black-people thing for only about 120 of their 150 years as a religion.
So, right you are. They have really left it in the mists of pre-history. I mean, McNamara might have been SecDef then!
Or was it Rumsfeld?
They think they can silence other opinions with childish insults and intimidation.
Thank you, Star Traveler, for the insights. Until you see some of this first hand, year after year, you won't believe it. I learned what I know out of self survival against a crooked business partner who lived across the street from the Temple here. I got into researching after he and his son threatened to beat me up one Christmas Eve, but that is another story. Suffice it to say, we will be turning him in for tax evasion shortly, he also tried to extort $300,00 from my mother. But I digress.
There are a lot of Mormons as acceptable as any average American, but it is when the stress of leadership comes into play that the fissures open. All I'm saying is some people ought to do a little research before championing infinite religious toleration.
No, he wasn't. Not unless she gave him prostate cancer.
How about we make you Admin. Moderator for an hour?
