I am no one's idea of a "Bush Basher". Have you met the man? Worked for his election? Shaken his hand? I have. And I am still disappointed in the extreme. It would have cost the President no political capital whatsoever to offer public support for his Secretary of Defense, even while acknowledging the need for a re-evaluation of the situation on the ground. I was, and am offended that neither was offered.

The American Left, thirsty as ever for the blood of its adversaries, demands human sacrifices in tribute to its fantasies. Rumsfeld was offered up, and gladly accepted by the High Priests of the New York Times editorial board. But, as you should know by now, no sacrifice is ever enough to whet the appetite of wealthy liberal Sodomites.

We are at war, partly to help Iraqis regain control of their destiny, but moreover to save the world from the scourge of intolerant Mohammedans seeking to destroy all those who reject their 7th century fanaticism. I look forward to a leader who admits as much and is willing to tell the testicularly-challenged editorialists of our Dead Tree Media just where they can go, and how.

I guess you'd be happier with Gore or Kerry. You know, the media would support them if that was the case.

Oh, for Heaven's sake...Pres. Bush did this literally hundreds of times over the last 6 years...where have you been?

There has been no President more loyal toward a Defense secy...and remember that Rummy was the longest serving in US history, due in no small part to Bush's steadily standing for him thru attack after attack.

It is an unfortunate fact of our time that a majority of Americans are wont to ignore the fact that we have been, and are now under attack. In retrospect, it should not be a surprise. America has been so privileged to have avoided being sacked by a horde of barbarians throughout her history, it has become inconceivable to consider the possibility of such an event.

Some see it, most don't. As in the past it will take a (another) serious blow for the idiots in the public square to comprehend.
