Save America with the ‘Fair Tax Act’
The Courier ^ | August 31,2006 | Gordon Bishop

Posted on 09/03/2006 5:18:40 AM PDT by Man50D

Abolish the federal income tax!

No more taxes on savings and investments!

A "Fair Tax" can completely fund the federal government, Social Security and Medicare!

You control how much you spend!

So what are we waiting for?

You, the taxpayers of America burdened with an income tax that is costly, wasteful and sinking America into inevitable bankruptcy. All current forms of federal taxation would end! You would keep 100 percent of your paycheck. You control how you spend your paycheck. It's your money. You make the decisions as to how you want to spend your money.

The Fair Tax would create more jobs and give the USA a level playing field when selling overseas. United States Senator John Linder (R-Georgia) is sponsoring the "Fair Tax Act of 2005." If enacted by Congress, it would accomplish all of the above. Simple. Easy. And affordable.

It's the best way to downsize government without disrupting the economy.

To join the "Fair Tax" movement in America, just sign the "Economic Freedom & Fairness" Petition supporting forward-thinking solutions. Go to www.grassfire.net and liberate the working class of taxpayers. Grassfire is trying to give the working class the same kind of freedom America's founders gave to those who joined the American Revolution in 1776 with the "Declaration of Independence." We won the Revolutionary War, but have lost our country since the 16th Amendment (income tax) became "Law" in 1913.

It's been pointed out repeatedly to you by many posters that the FairTax lowers taxes for most taxpayers
Which ones would it raise taxes on?

Just in case you aren't aware of these two sources, xzins, the first (the Tax Panel) was handed a "report" made up by bureaucratic staffers whose jobs are dependent on keeping the income tax money flowing and which was influenced to change the definition of the tax they were reviewing to something other than the FairTax bill as written. It's an old liberal game called "present the strawman and destroy it". Goes on all the time within the Beltway.

Even the numbers relating to taxes paid are preposterous as shown in this post and be sure to follow the link given for a look at how absurd the panel's "numbers" really were. Needless to say the poster giving you his link is anti-FairTax and as can be seen from his second link to you he prefers a flat tax which has many deficiencies as shown in this post or even one which shows the Flat Tax as Seen by a Tax Preparer

Most definitely - those in the illegal economy. And you, of course, since you'd admit to nothing else.

Vern Hoven gives tax seminars and he would be out of business if the Flat Tax were implemented.

Actually Robbie, anyone who could do simple arithmetic and troubled himself to honestly go through the CBO and FairTax prebate numbers and was not always trying to claim that under the FairTax everyone would always pay the FairTax at an effective rate of 30% or more - as you attempt to pass off as fact. There are no studies by recognized economists to support your BS.

You've been asked time and again to bring forth your numeric examples yet you still haven't - and can't. I'm willing to be convinced that the income tax would help far more taxpayers than the FairTax ... prove away Drummer Boy.

And your point is ...???

Pesumably he'd also be just as "out of business" if the FairTax were passed.

Do you dress up so nicely on all your sales calls??? No wonder you're fighting so hard to keep the income tax.

Actually, neither value given by the Tax Panel is correct at all. To see how far off their numbers are from reality, check this post.

And keep in mind that any so-called "flat tax" is still an income tax (and a payroll withholding tax as well) and has all the income tax flaws shown in this post.

Nope, just use the simple formula and get the correct answer in a single step. (Of course, that assumes you know something).

"Debunking the FairTax" ??? what a laugh. It should be called "Look at Mee, Robbie Gee, Drummer Boy extraordinaire - ain't I purty (and smart, too). Oh why should anyone be so blessed???"!!!

We all know how wonderful you think you are Robbie. It's probably driving some of your fans away from you, though, as well as those who grasp that you present mish-mash for logic.

Well, no - in fact a lot more than the possible 3 who have endorsed the income tax (and they're all paid by K-Street lobbyists).

One letter I recall had 75 economists signed on for the FairTax. I recall zero for the income tax.

Interesting observation, but it would be even better if there were some meaningful point to it.

None of which is true, however, the flat tax exists in 6 states, and 86 countries around the world, is simple, is accepted, as fair as any tax can be, can be done with or without withholding, increases the base, increases economic growth, increases economic freedom, has extremely high compliance rates, makes government funding visible, if not transparent, reins in spending, and lots of other good things.

The fairy tax exists only in one place - Uranus

Afctually "inclusive" or "exclusive" doesn't matter at all since the dollars amount of tax is the same no matter if expressed one way or the other. It's not dishonest but your claiming it is certainly IS a falsehood.
