I guess.

Do you think it might set in the west, too?

Awesome.

There is probably 2 intake lines, one from the bottom drain, and another from the skimmer. You definitely need valves on those so you can choose to pull all your suction from the bottom if it's really cloudy, or the top if it's pollen season.

Then there is likely 2 discharge lines, and you can have, but don't absolutley need valves on those. The water will go back to the pool as long as the lines aren't obstructed. Tehre should be a 5th line somewhere, the waste line, where the water goes when you backwash. there may be no line, it may just dump, or there could be a blue hose rolled up that the waste water splashes out of.

Jesus was Jewish. Jesus' disciples were Jewish. Jesus' followers were Jewish. They weren't antisemitic. But after having their Lord crucified, and being concerned about suffering the same fate because of their association with Him, they were afraid. Is that so hard to understand?

I was taught years ago that the Jews were/are/always will be Gods Chosen people and woe to any nation that sets themselves against them.

As a Christian that does not bother me one bit.

I still don`t understand why so many follow the dems, who would do away Israel in a second,if given the chance.

You are the one selectively quoting scripture without a context. The point really is that you choose to defend Gibson. Period.

SHOW ME! Quote me! Where is your proof? Have you even read my posts?

What I originally wrote, and what sums up my feelings on the matter, is this:

To: Hildy

I am saddened and disappointed by the story. Alcoholism is a serious problem; drunk driving is a dangerous action. What he spouted in a drunken stupor may truly speak what is in his heart.

However, I don't choose to write him off as a human being. If God shines the light on our sin, it is not to create a clearer target for stoning. It is to give us the opportunity for repentance, healing and restoration.

I can't condone or excuse the behavior of anyone who spouts hatred of the Jews or any nation. It is clearly wrong. However, my prayer for Mr. Gibson is that he will take the opportunity to get help both for his alcoholism and for any anti-semitism that he may harbor in his heart.

The Passion of the Christ is a beautiful, moving film which will remain a part of our family's Holy Week tradition. Will I go see Apocalypto? I guess that will depend on how this story unfolds in the weeks ahead.

Shalom.

(Courage is not simply one of the virtues but the form of every virtue at the testing point. Lewis)

When a Christian brother is in sin, and I clearly believe he was, his brothers and sisters in Christ must pray for his repentence and restoration. We don't rejoice in his downfall. I don't want him to continue in his sin. In no way do I find his behavior acceptable. But Christians believe that God can change hearts through His Holy Spirit working in man. We are all works-in-progress.

OK, makes sense
Filter = it's sucking in and running water through the filter
Open means it's just pumping around, no filtering (good for adding lots of chemicals)

Waste means it's just dumping out water without filtering or backwashing.

Backwash will run the water backward through the filter and hopefully reduce schmutz on the media (sand)

Once your pressure gets high enough (say 10 pounds or so above where it was with new sand) you should backwash.

Here's an owners manual that should help you some. It may not necessarily be for your system, but they are all pretty much the same.

You know your stuff. Holy cow! I have a lot to learn. I hope it's not as complicated as it sounds.

I have a call in to the pool guy, he gaves us an estimate at inspection for the valves and we need to repair a small rip in the liner. Hopefully, he'll give us a quick crash course.

Thanks so much for your help.

When do you open or close those lines?

I open them in the spring, close them in the fall!

Kidding, that was wiseass. I never had valves on the outlet side, I only close thebottom drain valve when vacuuming.

It may seem daunting, but you'll pick it up quickly. It's not that hard at all. Read the manual, it's only 4 pages, and ask other pool owners lots of questions!

I resemble that remark.

And I think Gibson is cool. First of all, his last name is awesome.

Secondly, he was good in Lethal Weapon and Max movies. He's a good actor and entertainer.

He must have done something right to make $1000000000000000000000000 dollars. I want to do whatever it is that he's doing.

How did the bible get thrown in here? He made a movie. He made alot of money off of it. The End

Some folks on this thread need a good backwashing. Enema, maybe.
