Looks like fear is running rampant among the Rudy Bashers!
I've actually often pointed out that Giuliani is much more electable than McCain. But on Free Republic can't we discuss the pros and cons of every candidate openly, or is that "bashing?" I thought the whole point of Free Republic was to discuss this kind of thing? I don't understand why people like you want to eliminate any dicsussion from Free Republic? If you don't like anyone saying anything less than positive about Giuliani, do you feel the same way about other candidates? Are you a McCain Basher? An Allen Basher? etc. etc. Personally, I don't have a lot of confidence in any of the current candidates so far. I try to point out there pros and cons honestly as I see them. I've said the advantages Giuliani has had over other candidates, but I didn't know I wasn't allowed to say the disadvantages without being tarred. Why bother having a primary?
That's because he's ahead in the polls. Meaningless, but that's all you can go on.
Also, Chris Matthews repeatedly has said Rudy will be prez in 2008. Matthews also said Rove would be indicted....
Look on the bright side. It will be fun to watch them cook up some mighty fine pretzel logic to resurrect Rudy should he become candidate. Cuz you just know they ain't votin' Third Party.
I live in New York City, and the Rudy Era was a great time here in New York. Crime plummeted, tourists and businesses came back in droves and the streets were cleaned up of all sorts of garbage. I may not be a fan of Hollywood's politics, but their activities put money in the city's coffers. It is no exaggeration to say that Rudy was the best thing to happen to this city in my lifetime.
Truth hurts?
