Not to mention that she butchered the song. Worst cover of "One" ever. U2 should file a restraining order.
To: silent_jonny
Some kind of disconnect between the father's tears and this girl's constant exhibitionist behaviour.

We thought the Clay kid was pretty good too:). Do you think he was really surprised, or was that rehearsed?

liked 'It's hip to be sqaure'! :)
Yes that was good too. Everyone went around singing that one. :)

Tay-Tay did it! Woohoo Soul Patrol indeed! I actually got all teary-eyed, believe it or not! Soooooo delightful to see someone with such talent, class, and yes, SOUL, win this thing! America got it right, indeed! Whoopee!!! LOL!Mornin', Hetty!
Just for you (and a few others :), here are the screencaps of the winning moment:

He seemed very overwhelmed. Considering all the passion, love, sacrifice he has put into being a musician, it must be the most rewarding feeling. His father tried to talk him out of being a singer and wanted him to "get a real job" in real estate. He said he couldn't do it that music was in his soul. He has proven that a relentless passion for something, anything, can take you to places you never thought possible. The personification of the American Dream. It is truly a beautiful sight to see.

Oh that animation of Paula reminded me.
On our local radio this morning, they had a mock commercial. Paraphrasing:
'Do you miss the disoriented ramblings of Paula Abdul?'
'Do you miss McPhever?'
'Do you find yourself shouting Soul Patrol, while in the shower'?
'Then you are experiencing AIW. American Idol Withdrawal. See your pharmacist for a one time pill called Cowelesia.'

First, SJ, thank you so much for keeping this thread going (and keeping the trolls under the bridge, where they belong). This thread has been so much innocent (well, mostly! LOL!) fun for so many people. Thank you!!! Thank you, Hetty :)
But as far as keeping the trolls off the thread, we should thank JimRob and the mods. I don't know if they said something to our profane troll or not, but his posts have stopped cold, allowing us to enjoy the last week of the show in peace!
THANK YOU!
(and I apologize for any inconvenience these threads have caused you or FR)

I don't like Clay's new hair style though. I found this on TVgasm :) LOL! (don't hate me, Claymates!)

He has proven that a relentless passion for something, anything, can take you to places you never thought possible. And against the odds. With Simon Cowel, not even wsanting to send him to Hollywood, then calling him drunk nearly every week, and still winning, is amazing in itself.
Let that be a lesson to Simon Cowel.
