real, genuine, unique talent--not cut from a cookie-cutter--won American Idol! Eaxactly.....I loved how humble and gracious he was at the end too. Class guy. Kat was incredibly gracious as well. They were two good ones.

Thank You Before we close the final curtain on this season of American Idol, I have to make a few important acknowledgments. First, thank you to everyone on the American Idol ping list. Each of you helped to maintain relative peace and civility on these threads and I personally thank you all for that. You are an outstanding group of people and an uncommonly fine group of Freepers. I didn't get to watch the show...my granddaughter was sick, so I was reading to her..and letting her watch her cartoons...
BUT, the thing I am the most diappointed about is missing PRINCE perform...dang.
I just LOVE to watch him perform.....they had a one hour special on my DirecTV a year or so ago...and I must have watched it 50 times!!! LOL
Dang...but, that ought to make any critics that say that AI is just "fluff TV", think twice..Prince is not gonna play a "bad room"...if you know what I mean.

I also think there is alot of excitement because so many ALabamians were upset that Bo didn't win last year. Alot around this area thought he was going to be the one to win. Although i think it was better the way it turned out. But yes there is more excitement then there was for Ruben, because he reaches so many ages and ethnicities.
