This about sums it up...

From USA Today article:

ON HOW THEIR FANS PERCEIVE THEM:

Taylor:

"We need more music like Taylor's. It's time for blues and soul. A change is coming," says Nancy Lynch, 53, of Winchester, Calif., part of a Soul Patrol group.

Katharine:

Sarah Slain and Taylor Seebold, 10-year-old girls who flew from San Francisco with their mothers, explained Katharine's appeal. "She looks happy when she's singing. She has a really good voice, and she's really pretty," Seebold says.

I will be in khaki slacks, long-sleeved black shirt, beard, dark hair, glasses. Mrs. DFU is blonde and wearing brown.

You're thinking of Nikki Taylor. Nikki Hilton is the lessor known sister of Paris Hilton. She designs purses.

Do you know where you are sitting? Close to the stage?

I am pretty close to the DC chapter in proximity and have yet to attend a freep out here. Flying to one would not be something to cross my mind.

My problem with Kat is that there are young impressionable girls watching and she is giving them the idea that when your abilities are lacking, you should fall back onto exposing your body.

If it is too much for you, maybe you shouldn't watch. Considering some of the websites you have linked to on these threads and some of your comments, I wouldn't have thought you were a prude. I have two young girls and don't have any problem with Kat on any level. I don't think wh falls back on exposing her body.

I don't know she's singing the two songs that she sang on her knees. It makes you wonder. ; )

According to TMZ.com, the gossip site:

"Sources revealed to TMZ details of Wednesday's night 'American Idol' finale. The show will feature songs by prolific composer Burt Bacharach, with Dionne Warwick performing her 80s hit, 'That's What Friends Are For.' Other Bacharach performances will include Bucky Covington's rendition of 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head,' and Kevin Covais singing 'What's New Pussycat.'

17-year-old Paris Bennett is scheduled to duet with Grammy-winning vocalist Al Jarreau.

TMZ has also learned that this year's female contestants will take the stage for a medley of girl-power themed songs including, 'I'm Every Woman', Aretha Franklin's 'Natural Woman' and Shania Twain's 'I Feel Like a Woman.'

Last year's Idol winner Carrie Underwood and 2003's runner-up Clay Aiken are also scheduled to perform on Wednesday."

There have been conflicting reports about whether Clay Aiken would be performing Wednesday or just appearing, but recent reports lean to performing. Apparently, Dorothy Lucey on Good Day Live LA announced that Clay would perform, and that Paris Bennett and Al Jarreau would pair for a duet.

Poor Bucky. My God, I have never wanted a rumor to be untrue so badly in my life. I can understand having a Burt Bacharach NIGHT, but does it have to be on finale night?

Levon - 2005

Very different version of Levon from Taylor than the one he sang in the top 24. Much simpler and more powerful. It willbe interesting to see how differntly he performs both songs tonight. I suspect he's never done a song the same way twice.

I read that Kats dad is a producer at FOX and that he's been pulling strings and paying for phone lines to see her thru the competition. I'm hoping all that is false.

They just added a concert in Hershey in September and one in Wilkes-Barre also in September. Both go on sale on Ticketmaster tomorrow 10am. You need to get signed up now on Ticketmaster and be typing a little before 10 tomorrow morning if you want tickets.

They also added another show in Atlanta for Sept 12.
