Yes! That was hysterical.
It was like "So, Kat, heard you got beat worse than Guarini. How does that make you feel?"
I think it was right after the part where they were all "Yeah, everyone thinks you should've been voted off instead of Chris? Your thoughts?"
And then they had to top off the awkward with Seacrest saying "Is it true you had a crush on Ace?" I don't remember what she said, but everything about her reaction was "bitch, please."
And what was up with Paula? I swear I don't want to mock her or Kat, but they make it so easy...

Hicks: (Laughs) Yeah, and you know Bill Clinton was one of my favorite presidents. I think he was one of the greatest politicians that ever lived, in my opinion. BJ & Tay Tay, sax and harMONICA

I don't see him a bad guy. I admired his honesty. A lot of people in his position would pretend to have been his best buddy during those years.

That story sounds bogus to me. The auditions were cancelled in Memphis because of the hurricanes, and were rescheduled in Vegas.
Nothing mysterious about it. I am sure Taylor would have gone to the audition in Memphis or Vegas, or wherever had to go. His Dad said he should forget about going to the audition, and buy a lottery ticket instead!

"I just think it's not plausable that Simon, who works every day in the recording industry, and has had the success he's had picking what works, didn't recognize Taylor's immediate talent. "
The Beatles were rejected by Decca on numcerous occasions. After listening to their demos, the record exec said Beatles had no commercial appeal and that no one would buy their records.

From that other article. I like this best:
Simon actually felt SLIGHTLY guilty about predicting that Taylor would win. According to Katharine, Simon pulled her aside after his proclamation and asked, You all right with what I said? She said she was fine, told him she loved him, and he said the same. Then they hugged. And all was right in the "Idol" world.

I for one am not going to let a gracious remark Taylor made about Clinton ruin my Tay-love! Heck, look at all the buttkissing that Bush Presidents 1 and 2 do with the guy.
I'm a bonafide Clinton-hater, but at least the second part of Tay's statement is true: as a POLITICIAN Bubba was and is very skilled.
I don't care if Taylor turns out to be a lib (long as he doesn't go anti-American - he won't), but I seriously doubt he is. He certainly ACTS like a real conservative - optimistic, cheerful, gracious, etc.

Watching the Larry King show, hosted by Ryan. Randy just confirmed my earlier comments about Simon NOT liking Taylor and NOT getting him, even now. Randy said that Simon doesn't understand the south. Taylor piped up that Simon doesn't understand Americans! lol
Something else interesting. Ryan asked Katharine, point blank, flat out, if Spielberg called to meet with her. She memmed and hawed. Ryan rephrased the question asking if Spielbergs people contacted someone she knows. Again she hemmed and hawed. I think Ryan exposed her.

I think Kat just debunked the Tom Cruise asking her to sing and his wedding.

Kat didn't come across real well overall in the LK show. But I will refrain from being too hard on her. First, she is a product of her upbringing - clearly indulgent and overeager parents. Hence she is a little self-absorbed and seems to be all about "me" and not very gracious handling the least bit of criticism or questioning.
But she also seems to have some genuine affection and regard for Taylor, despite what some say about her. She is young and hopefully will learn to not say too much of what she is thinking.
Taylor OTOH, continues to impress me with how casually confident he is, and always gracious. I'm telling you, this guy is poised for some serious celebrity.
To: over3Owithabrain
and always gracious You mean like describing Paula as "the latest ride at 6-Flags" when he was on Jay Leno?

He was asked about that and explained her as being a roller coaster. Up and down. One minute she's crying, the next she's happy.

Very gracious, indeed.
His hero is a rapist and a traitor. Add that to your tagline.

Geez, doodle - what is your prob? We're just having fun and talking as AI fans. It was clear that Taylor's remark about Paula was innocent and taken wrong by the audience and Leno played along. Only someone LOOKING for a reason to hate would harbor that against him.
As for the Clinton thing, you are blowing that way out of proportion too. And besides, who was talking to you anyway?
To: over3Owithabrain
Clinton apologists are on the wrong forum, pal.

Do you hate both President Bushes, for they have said equally positive things about Clinton, if not more so? Hmmmmmm?
