Creation magazine claimed that Schweitzer’s research was “powerful testimony against the whole idea of dinosaurs living millions of years ago. It speaks volumes for the Bible’s account of a recent creation.”

This drives Schweitzer crazy. Geologists have established that the Hell Creek Formation, where B. rex was found, is 68 million years old, and so are the bones buried in it. She’s horrified that some Christians accuse her of hiding the true meaning of her data. “They treat you really bad,” she says. “They twist your words and they manipulate your data.” For her, science and religion represent two different ways of looking at the world; invoking the hand of God to explain natural phenomena breaks the rules of science.

My comment based on this quote

invoking the hand of God to explain natural phenomena breaks the rules of science.

Science does not have a free hand apart from God. What God wills happens.

"Science does not have a free hand apart from God. What God wills happens."

... And since God created the laws of physics, which govern the universe, everything that science discovers, whether it be in terms of historical geology or evolution, point's to God's master design.

Thanks for ping/notice. I'm responding rather late, but been busy since I read it. Aside the fact the researcher isn't totally able to see how God and His mastery are the essential foundation for science and it's theories . . .

I'm simply excited and overjoyed of her discovery and in her belief that we shouldn't need to prove God exists with science, that people should belief simply through faith in God!

:)

Not for the competent scientists. They never feel threatened by any challenges, reasonable or not.

I find it as difficult to understand a scientist who does not acknowledge the presence of a superior rationality behind the existence of the universe as it is to comprehend a theologian who would deny the advances of science. And there is certainly no scientific reason why God cannot retain the same relevance in our modern world that He held before we began probing His creation with telescope, cyclotron, and space vehicles.

Our survival here and hereafter depends on adherence to ethical and spiritual values. Through science man tries to harness the forces of nature around him; through religion he tries to control the forces of nature within him and find the moral strength and spiritual guidance for the task that God has given him." --Dr. Werner von Braun, National Aeronautics and Space Administration,
