The exotic dancer who accused members of the Duke University lacrosse team of raping her at a party may have been slipped a date-rape drug, according to an interview with the second dancer in the May 1 issue of Newsweek that appeared on stands today.
Newsweek also reported that a defense attorney said some DNA evidence had been found under the accuser's fingernails, but that the first round of DNA testing - which did not incriminate any of the 46 players swabbed - was inconclusive about identity. Results from a second round of tests are expected this week.
The accuser, a 27-year-old black college student and mother, said she was raped and beaten by white students on March 13 after performing for them at a house party. Two lacrosse team members, Collin Finnerty, 19, of Garden City, and Reade Seligmann, 20, of Essex Fells, N.J., were charged Tuesday. Defense lawyers have maintained their clients' innocence, offering a detailed timeline and time-stamped photos from the party that they say throw the woman's story into doubt.

Dan Abrams "She's a piece of work"!!
LOL!!!
Yes it does. Ruin people's lives and probably walk away with a book deal, a TV movie and guest spots on talk shows. Argh!
They've filed this motion, mintues ago.
And they are saying that Nifong HAS this information and did NOT turn it over.
__________
Just got back, I am unable to see Abrams, what information has the DA had and is not turning over?
Abrams has done a complete turn around since this story broke....
If I said that, you would hit the abuse button faster than I could cancel my account.
You know, Howlin, I was thinking the same thing.
Why haven't they released that part of the interview with Kim until now ... and what else did she say?
Did you miss post #71? I believe it is crying out for your attention...
Howlin, are you saying that it is being reported the AV has accused others of rape previously (sorry, I am trying to catch up)?
What do you think?
We asked about 500 viewers if they thought either of the indicted lacrosse players will be convicted of a crime based on what they knew about the case?
61% said they don't believe the players will be convicted.
14% said they're not sure.
We also asked viewers if they think the attorneys involved in the case have revealed too much information? Too little information? Or just about the right amount?
34% said attorneys have revealed too much information.
33% felt the attorneys have been tight lipped.
28% said the lawyers have released just about the right amount of information.
5% said they were not sure.
That's what he alluded to while he was reading from the motion that Reade's attorney filed today.
I can't find the motion online yet.
If there was any money shoved under the door, that's how Crystal lost her nails. Kim Kong would fight for that money!
Also explains certain posters today. LOL
When will Nifong have to respond?
Not until the first hearing on the fifteenth?
Have my tv on court TV. So far NG hasn't mentioned motions...
Do you know that those are cellphone photos?
I don't see what other choice the defense had; in fact, I saw some North Carolina attorneys talking about Nifong's problems in regard to his conduct and they said that the defense had either right and HAD TO refute the things that Nifong was putting out there.
Nifong started this; the defense has to protect their client. And esepecially when Nifong is poluting the jury pool.
I hope the parents do a class action suit against all those those were so quick to speak and publish slanderous things about their sons.....beginning w/Nifong, the Duke President, some in the Duke faculty, Newsweek, Chris Mathews, Dan Oberman, Nancy Grace and all her feminazi friends/guestrs.....etc.etc.etc.
I just got home; and missed Abrams tonight but will re-watch it at 6:00.
Quick scroll of posts - is it correct that reports stripper wants to pull out of the case and has maybe claimed rape before?
For Nigong, he'll wait until the last minute.
They are saying he's withholding exculpatory evidence, I think.
LOL
So Kim is now in the bathroom with Crystal?
I do believe you are correct. :-)
