I don't see what other choice the defense had; in fact, I saw some North Carolina attorneys talking about Nifong's problems in regard to his conduct and they said that the defense had either right and HAD TO refute the things that Nifong was putting out there.
Nifong started this; the defense has to protect their client. And esepecially when Nifong is poluting the jury pool.
