Are you talking about those who would ban children from an event like this because of their parents political beliefs/lifestyle, or about those who would draw attention to the fact the some children through no fault of their own have gay parents? The answer should be self-evident. There is no homosexual test. It is only those proclaiming their homosexual preference that make public the issue. It is and was always an Easter egg roll NEVER a homosexual pride festival. There is nothing wrong with opposing the perversion of the event so why attempt to moral relatively argue the case against opposition?

So you don't have a problem with gay parents bringing their children as long as they don't mention anything political? That's fair enough - and it should apply to straights too. Parents shouldn't be using this as a forum to to talk about their sexual preferences, to talk about their opinions on the Iraq war or anything else not related to kids having a good time with an Easter Egg roll.
