It was no Nazi reference, more of an abortion reference.

As to whether or not we "reward" the children of criminals, I would argue that banning abortions in ALL cases (including rape) rewards the child of the rapist by giving him the right to life, which he is most definitely entitled to. As we know, there are many who think pregnancies resulting from rape are "less valid" than others.

I think you're right in arguing that we should prevent illegals from giving birth in the USA; however, if a child is born here, I would argue that he deserves the chance to stay.

That's what they're counting on. I've read stories where illegal alien women, 8-9 months pregnant, make their way here to have their baby just so they can use that clause. Time to dump it. No anchor babies.

Anchor babies isn't about life or death it's about rewarding the child for a crime committed by the parents and by association rewarding the parents because they claim the child is an american citizen and therefore has a right to stay and be given welfare and not deprived of it's parents. In most cases the parents are deported anyway and the child winds up living with a relative who collects the welfare checks on behalf of the child.

Nice system.

Staying is one thing, automatically being awarded citizenship and welfare etc. along with it is another.

If the parents want the child to stay they can give it up for adoption.

Why? Why not just say, if you are a citizen, your children are citizens? If not, they aren't. It's easy.

What about the physical location of the birth of someone whose parent got into the country illegally makes them "deserve" to be a citizen?

I don't believe in automatic citizenship for illegals OR dual citizenship, because there is no logic to it.
