Meanwhile, at the Democratic National Committee and Democratic Underground, there is much joy as President Bush further alienates his political base by insulting those who are acting within the law to try to curb illegal immigration. President Bush should not be too smug about this matter. The Democrats are itching to impeach him in revenge for the unsuccessful impeachment of Clinton. If the GOP base is sufficiently alienated and the Democrats gain control of both houses of Congress in January 2007, rest assured they will find a pretext, perhaps in connection with the nonexistence (they say) of Iraqi WMD, or the Valerie Plame "expose", to impeach him.
President Bush and his advisers should do nothing in the next few months to antagonize anybody who has been on his side, even the next time Pat Robertson says something intemperate.
"The Minutemen would not be needed if the President and his Attorneys General did not shirk their Constitutional duty to enforce the laws of the land."
That being the case they (the minutemen) are needed more than ever... I for one support their efforts.
Perhaps in connection with the next terrorist attack which will come from a lack of border enforcement.
Criminal negligence is criminal negligence, I don't care what party you're from.

I also, got fooled into thinking that the President had repeated this insult. I question this poster's motives.
